I don't get the season pass stuff. How long is a season pass good for? Equinox to solstice?
And if no new content is given within that time period, too bad?

OK, I just bought the 130 GBP (120 actually) Lifetime Expansion Pass. I hope that the expansions will be cool, because it is probably the highest amount (120 + 49) of money I paid for a single game. :)

Just a quick question (that may have been answered already)

If I purchase the Lifetime Pass from the Frontier Store, but have the game installed via Steam... then do I still get the unlimited upgrades, or can I only play them if I use the Elite Launcher?

While the news of planetary landings is exiting, I can't help but to feel a bit saddened about the price tag itself. Now, I understand that as you are selling it as a new game for new players you've set the price accordingly, but the 10 pounds (or in my case about 13 euros) off for the existing players doesn't feel like much of a deal, even with the added Cobra MK IV. I almost did buy it off the bat, mind you, but had a change of heart. I still need to think this over some more.

The LEP gives you beta access doesn't it?

Yes. The Lifetime Expansion Pass also grants access to the beta of the Elite Dangerous: Horizons expansion season when it's available.

Yes! The Lifetime Expansion Pass is available again with the announcement of Elite Dangerous: Horizons. You can find more info on the Frontier Store. It not only grants access to Elite Dangerous: Horizons and the beta but also any future expansions we release.

It's all bundled into the LEP, if you bought it before or buy it now; or have I missed/misunderstood something?

Cheer up mate ;) ....they might take the opportunity to add more stuff to general exploration and have already confirmed the ability to detail scan the surface while flying over it. Will we ever get the DDA? No but we might get some love for exploration. Just being able to land on all those planets will be amazing for explorers and so much more than we have at the moment.

Well this all sounds rather encouraging. I'm enjoying exploring as is, this should make it more interesting :)
Very curious to see the new Mk IV, I'm pretty happy in my Mk III at the moment but happy to try something new..
