Well, for all that my posts might have made it sound that I am poking fun at Americans, it be not so. I have lived here very happily for the last seven years, and see no end in sight. :)

As to the food in England, well, it's certainly not bad (especially kebabs!!). But hey, you would have to put up with the weather... ;)

I didn't think you were making fun at all. And I love the weather in England ^,^

Took me forever to try a Doner Kebab because having grown up partly in California.. anything food wise close to Donner is Not a good idea :p

That really made me laugh... I'm in that vicinity.

I always have to have a doner kebab when I'm back in the UK, it reminds me of so many things, most of them should have been forgotten, but would be appreciated by the Drunks of Sol. As to the weather, I'll take what we get here, although could do with a bit more precipitation. :)

True - even in Illinois it can get unpleasantly hot. However, it's fun to sit out of an evening, slurping your beer, listening to the squeakybugs, and find yourself a real-life Thargoid invasion when a praying mantis flys over and lands on your beer can :)

When in England I do miss squeakybugs, it's true. Otherwise though? I rather like sitting out back until the sun's gone down, listening to the stream running at the bottom of the garden, not having to worry that at any moment my face, or the light I am near to, is about to be griefed by bugs.

I've said it before, I'm not at all a fan of non-consent PvP!

Don't go to Scotland then :)

The bugs there are all in Guilds and are the absolute masters of nonconsensual PvP. Midges make even hardened soldiers scream and cry like little girls, and then wear womens makeup :D

Don't go to Florida either, where the bugs can lift small pets and children & no container is safe from them. They also particularly enjoy "bug-be-gone" substances as an aperitif.

That would not surprise me in the slightest. I remember when my ex-boss moved back to Australia and sent me photos of the things that had moved into their old house during their absence.

I particularly remember one of a centipede snuggling inside a 220 motorcycle tyre. I'm never going to Australia!

The group itself can't actually be named "Bacon Cats", at least not unless I or somebody else names their commander "Bacon Cats". The naming of private groups is wholly dependent upon the name of the commander that originally creates the group. Do not join any "Bacon Cat" group as it will be a fake.

.... so don't make it a Private Group - submit a player minor-faction proposal to Zac - the name would be possible then.... ;)

Yup - I grew up in Argyll - one of the wettest parts of Scotland - and midges *love* wet/rotten wood - lots of forest in Argyll....

Needless to say I don't live on the West Coast of Scotland any more! ;)

I -think- I sent something along those lines and got no response. Frankly, at first glance I was left confused by the whole process and it put me off digging very much further.

I should go looking again. Though probably at a time that doesn't have my brain sloshing about in my head with the consistency of congealed custard.
