I havent read through this entire thread and only based that off what I've heard so far, if the open players are complaining about solo being an option because they cant interact and pvp with those players anymore then thats where my support stops for that side since thats the entire point of solo. I simply want open to be about player interaction and private/solo to be about NPC interaction

A lot of people want "interaction" - it is the type of "interaction" that is problem.

I do not want combat "interaction", I want co-op "interaction" - So I'd like an Open PvE Mode to support that.

And I will add that even those who do want combat interaction.. the forced aspect is off-putting.. especially since a disproportionate amount of it seems directed against ships that are not in any way a match or challenge to those forcing the PVP.. as in traders, starter ships, etc.

This and this. Here's a nice little summary- I probably left something out (so feel free to interject it)

Timeline
Game released.
PvPer's start griefing traders and PvEr's.
PvEr's leave Open- groups like Mobius form, etc.
Frontier announces CQC (arena mode for PvPer's).
PvPer's now want Solo to be closed because their fish pond has run dry.
PvEr's want proper controls in place to prevent griefing before they will use Open.

- Some want the "mandatory" PvP system changed i order to facilitate this. (flagging system)
- Some want a ban system in place.
- Some want a new mode to match the current Open that is "co-op" (flipside of PvP)
Etc, etc, etc.

The upset over the modes started before the game was released - I joined the game in November 2014, a month before release and there were 3 threads on the forums about it then. When the game was released, the Mods merged the 3 main threads and smaller versions or masked versions into the first "mega" (first red link in my Sig).

But from what I've read and seen, the back and forth over the modes has gone on for years.
And the same response is given, right from Kickstarter they were part of the sales pitch (Yellow link in my Sig)

I joined the forums in early 2014, and there was a specific thread then about the modes. It had been going since at least early 2013.

But the main thing is that open is about player interaction and if you dont want to interact with other players or only interact with certain players then use private or solo, dont ruin open for the people who do want the player interaction, it seems extremely selfish and unnecessary to do so

Define "ruin" in this context, please - I expect that others will have different opinions on what constitutes the ruination of Open....

This game needs an offline mode that eliminates the possibility that players can play safely in single / private. perhaps it reduced to 1/3 the merits achieved in solo. I do not understand how you can maintain two distints game modes with the same rewards but with different risk. perhaps frontier unilaterall can add x5 to the difficulty of the NPC, or x5 to the amount of ships to kill to level up, or x5 to the amount of money needed to reach elite trade. Can not be allowed the same benefits and diferente difficulties.

I'm finding it difficult to understand if this latest entry is stating "If you don't want to play in Open, why ruin it for those who do?", or "If you want to play in Open, don't act like a Yahoo and drive everyone away..."

Please pray tell.. explain this "risk" that is so great that such actions are needed

Umm, no... I disagree with every point you have made. All modes are equal, switching is a core element of the game. Open offers players the chance of uncontrolled interaction to "ameliorate their gaming experience" if they are happy with that, nothing more.

diferent RISK diferente rewards. For me is clear.

Who was it complaining it was too quiet round here? :p
-
Here we go again: "PP is unfair because I can't shoot Marvin in the face..." PP is a PvE activity, like the board game RISK. You do not get away with constantly punching the player next to you in the arm to stop them trying to invade your territories on the map.

yes.
conflict zones/war zones - in solo only npc no players. less risk = less profit.

underminig - in solo you can go to undermining without player oposition. Less risk = less profit.

trading - in solo you can Trade without interaction with pírates, or players. Less risk = less profit.

comunitary missions - in solo you can go from A to B without risk. Less risk = less profit.

I can continue with virtually all the game mechanics. but I guess it will prefer to say it's the same game for everyone when it is clear that only players / private are taking advantage of two systems to do the same, but with less risk and reward them.

And yes Letter D in ED means dangerous. less dangerous less profit is clear for the single players. They are less risk And the same profits.

How is there less risk though.. Over and over again those who claim Open is the only way to go keep saying.. stay out of certain systems and it is no different then solo.. so .. where is the risk? Were is the justification for altering modes to give Open bonuses? All your asking for is what you accuse Solo of doing.. Profits..

so again I ask

because you actually haven't.
