The spread sheet wizards back in the lab have proved with maths that HR 8202 is bad for us, so please fortify our existing systems and leave HR 8202 alone. If you are after some combat the head for a conflict zone within our systems.

Any way, do what you fancy chaps and have fun!

If you don't know much about Antal then here's some background.

There are no slaves of any kind in Utopia. Harmful substances like narcotics are banned too. Illegal trade is closed down. The trade routes are safe as fines and bounties are increased. We overthrow corrupt dictatorships through violent protest. We arrest non violent dissidents (the smugglers, drug dealers, slavers, pirates of the old system) to the capital for legal due process and hopefully reintegration in to society. We enforce law and order and are at peace with our neighbors. We do not undermine their growth. We are the only power with a real purpose or vision. All talk of cult, brain washing etc. is not part of the lore and never has been. It is fear of the boggy man and made up by other powers and people fixated with 1984 and just looking to spread fear, uncertainty and doubt. It's all cool!


The figurehead, Antal, makes the best simulations in the galaxy too. They call him SimGuru, like Tech Guru, ofcousre some folk have taken it and twisted it in to some silly idea of a cult to justify picking on him. So you'll read some bad press from other powers on the forum but if you want to know the truth have a look at the official stuff on Galnet.

Its a utopian society.. unless youre one of the "dissidents" chained up and brought back to HQ for "re-education"...

... Soilent Green much?

At least the Empire has rules about not running slaves through the meat grinder...

And where did you read that? The lore (i.e. not half truths) is that Antal and Utopia are an open society that prizes intellect and knowledge above all else. You have the sim garden on Antal, a huge, open library of knowledge and experiences anyone can use. All our discoveries are open to everyone, unlike the Empire where you have to have status to do anything.

Being a Utopian is like being a monk. You have to be dedicated and not disrupt what the final goal is. If you disrupt what is trying to be achieved, you get carted off for trial and prison. What happens to political prisioners on Capitol? Sent to Torval to be sold as slaves maybe?

As a matter of not-quite-fact, there are monks in the Utopian society.

It is fear of the boggy man and made up by other powers, jealous powers looking for another soft target rather than facing the corrupt, unprincipled mess that they are.

Open your eyes. Join Utopia.
