OMG! You can make 20+Mil Cr per Hour, if you didn't realise.

I really don't get why people are complaining about this. If you grind, you make lots of money and have no fun. More fool you. If you don't grind, you can make decent money and have a LOT of fun with this.

I tried it last night, got a few missions bouncing around stations and then went for the deliveries. It was an awesome game of cat and mouse. I made about 7 million for the evening which was an excellent amount of money for me and I had a real blast.

To those who are getting upset because other people are making money from this: I really don't understand your problem. I could make 7 million from grinding combat zones or res sites for an evening if I pushed it. People with bigger, better ships could make more, I suspect. Also, why does what another person does affect you? So it took you longer to make the money for your anaconda. So what? Why does that matter to you? You have your anaconda. I really don't understand why you have to spoil other people's fun because..... well, I don't understand why. That's kind of what I'm asking. Why??

So I can make 7.5 mill to transport just 3 tons of drugs over 15 jumps, which will take me about 20 mins...

While I am shamelessly taking advantage of these crazy payouts, with which I made over 150 million credits yesterday,it is blatantly obvious that this mechanic is way unbalanced compared to every other avenue for revenue in this game. It needs changing.

Make hay whilst the sun shines, I guess.

So, how do you propose nerfing this? Simply remove all the long range missions? Limit smuggling missions to one at a time?

Is there anyway to buy an ASP out at Sothis or CEOS? or will i need to travel back to usual places of stock? What is the nearest place to here?

...and end game reached in a couple of days, what do I play now? Not sure why but there is always a rush to get as much as possible as soon as possible. It is like fast forwarding to the end of the film.

Well, you could chose to watch the film rather than fast forward to the end. Those who chose this path find the film more enjoyable and entertaining. The same can be said of a computer game. Just because you *can* fast forward a film it doesn't mean you have to. Again, the same can be said of a computer game.

It's like in the "old" days where cheat codes were released in gaming magazines. Just because you knew the cheat codes it didn't necessarily mean you'd use them. It was a choice, much like this.

NOTE - I'm not saying that taking long range smuggling missions is cheating. Repeatedly relogging to get the best missions could be construed as gaming the system, although without a direct statement from FD it can't be classed as cheating (unless they've already stated it is and I've missed it)

Fast forward to your end :) Clear your save haha..

How do you reach 'end game' in a game that has no real end game? Some people think owning an anaconda is end game but I've been flying one for over 6 months and have yet to run out of things to do.

No, it really isn't.

Sothis and Ceos are very bare-bones, bring what you need because you probably won't find it there

i used a system called Arara to buy and kit out an Asp to a decent spec; it was much closer than my home base* - i think the station was Szilard or similar - an anagram for lizards, anyway

* i set off for Sothis in an Anaconda and then halfway there thought "what the hell am i doing!? wake up, dozy."

The last couple of evenins i found a nice system where the Sirius corporation is building a new space station. Got allied with them and in 5-6 hours i earned about 70 millions on long range smuggling with my lovely Asp. It seems battle weapons for example makes alot of noise in the background sim looking at the bars and effects. Poor powerplay chaps and gals :)

Im entrepreneur on the trade rank. Didnt have to use the menu-"exploit" much to get insane amounts of missions. But if one takes 7-8 missions (at around 3-4 millions a pieace for me) and go, there seem to be quite a following after me with scripted interdictions, both police, navy, pirates and tier-mission ships, great fun (at last some danger in the game, as long as you dont "afterburn" and jump). Got down to 20% hull at one time fighting with a federal gunship, that used chaffs and SCBs.

Do you know something ..... i did this again last night ..... and really it wasn't particularly for the credits .... i did it cos it was actually FUN

Ok ... so the getting the missions bit themselves is a bit tedious...... but once you're in the black .... being chased through space, having to dodge to scoop, getting police chasing you suspecting you're smuggling, having to stealth into each station ...

ACTUALLY fun and entertaining
Doesn't it show FDev that this kind of gameplay should be expanded? Big risk vs big reward missions .... that are difficult to achieve is something that should be included more .... granted these aren't that difficult .... but i could imagine a mission with say a 10m - 20m reward ... something really big and tasty but required something like multiple runs through heavily infested pirate space (police no-go-zone) and then having alternate factions trying to acquire / destroy etc ...

I'd play missions all day long for this ... The current missions (a lot of them anyway) feel like "Here - take my dry cleaning to the cleaners in the next system and i'll give you a tip"
There's no depth / challenge to them

Doing two of these runs in the past two evenings has been the most fun i've had in a few weeks
We've been asking for better BB missions since day 1 .... finally we get them but people cry 'exploit' .... give us the missions without having to re-roll ... there has to be a better mechanism
Same with the ones interdicting us ..... currently they're offering a pittance compared to the primary goal .... give us something worth considering .... maybe something that say increased the reward further to deliver to an alternate destination but in doing so caused the police to be tipped off and have almost a blockade around the station that requires skill / stealth to get through ....

We're so close to having some cracking stuff like this .... but its tantalisingly out of grasp

No, it really isn't.

I'm guessing for some it isn't but if it isn't then you don't need the credits :) I guess it is a score counter for some. Although it says something about how useful the ships are in this game. I have a top end fighter which can take pretty much anything. I have a top end long range trader. With those two ships I can do anything. Together I guess they're around 50 million, I have a ten million float and that is all you need in this game. If I get anything bigger it'll take longer to do what I want.

As long as you can do it in the game, its legal! switching modes are perfectly legit. Logging out and in to generate better missions are 100 % legit. Gaming the game, using the in game mechanics are 100% legit.

Until FD plug the hole or change the mechanics. I made around 50 mil yesterday just by jumping between different modes, perfectly legit. Was it fun? No I just did it to test the system, not going to do it again as I only make the game un-fun by my own doing. However my Python gained a nice upgrade :D dat power plant woot woot woot

And another thing..... its been great to have a reason to buy an Asp, figure out a specification to best suit long-range smuggling (needing to escape interdiction and stealth), balancing weight / armaments and carrying capacity

Genuinely exciting getting interdicted by a system police force and scanned or just as you're trying to sneak into the dock getting "Scan Detected" .... made my heart go a bit .... knowing carrying a bunch of illegals, facing big fines and retaliation .... excellent stuff!!!

So much fun.... like others said ... having this band of crims chasing you from system to system ... awesome.... just wish they had ability in speech to escalate their anger / irritation at my continued flaunting of them

These smuggling missions have brought the life back into the game!
Its just like the rare trading of old. Interdicters in just about every system, ducking and weaving all over the place trying to lose them.
Sure gets the adrenaline pumping. Awesome stuff! :D

Hear hear - the two runs I've done from Sothis back to the bubble, running 4 or 5 simultaneous missions, are the closest I've felt to being Han Solo since I started. The epic distances involved, being hounded from star to star, watching the fuel run dangerously low as I skip out on scooping because of the fear of being caught, the final desperate run in towards the station trying to shake those potential interdictors off my tail, taking those high risks for the high rewards - epic stuff.

Bah, I've been smuggling in my Python, with fsd, thrusters, life supportand heat sink active she runs 23% before chucking a sink

Good fun

Just in case people don't realise, you don't need any of that heat sink / silent running / chaff nonsense to smuggle in any ship (not tried a T9 personally).

Line up with the slot about 7km out, then hammer in max speed, then zero throttle as you go through the slot, and let the DC land you. Works EVERY TIME. Never been scanned, not once.
