The "reality" is listed in my Sig, as "Wall of Information".

The game is, what it is.... take it or leave it :)

ooooohh this is a proper answer. The game is, what it is. A Lion in cage that will never see the light.
I'll leave it, who knows... maybe one day, when is too late, this lion will be uncaged.

Can I play in your SANDBOX if I help you build a SANDCASTLE ?:)

Go on then, we can put guns on it and defend it from the demon child, young Annie Wilkes in the making.....

(My youngest BTW and I didn't know she had taken my hammer until I looked up and seen her stood like this over me)

I believe everyone shall be free to choose how to play, but, if the world calculate all the benefit from the private+solo and open, people that play in Open shall receive a bonus, more money or whatever just because is more risky...

Choice is not a risk. A reward is given for scaling a mountain and you are free to choose how you achieve this goal. There is no extra points for making it harder for yourself or others. The Reward from Fdev is the same, the reward for you is the fun you had playing your way.

ok now remove top line and FD will get the 90% of the ppl who didn't bought the game.

I would love to know how you figure that. Do you seriously believe 90% of the people on Steam who didn't by the game did so because it said single player? If so then I suggest you take a really good look at Steam.. since most of their games are single player or have that option.

you guess why?

i'll help you : REAL SANDBOX

No, a real sandbox has sand in it not pixels.. and if you feel Eve is a "real sandbox game" and that Elite Dangerous isn't than that shows how little you know about sandbox games for ED is as much more a sandbox than Eve is, mainly for the reason that forcing make people play a certain way defeats the "sandbox" .. Eve PVP is forced on you.. ED it isn't.

Looks like you need to give her your ship and let her play. All Hail the Mini Jockey!

Silent running expert!

Between my thug and your stealth expert - we can start a crime syndicate and rule the galaxy !!!! :D

Didn't they try that in Anvil?

I am pretty sure letting a lion out of its cage results in rather unpleasant outcomes...

Especially it he is related to a certain cat used for bad puns and analogies...

Uncaging a lion can be a good thing

Kind of like a player who was forced to PVP then found Private groups that allow them to really experience ED for the first time

Open Play played WITH Solo Play?

Hi Gang,

There is only a thin vale separating the two modes at the moment, so why not make this vale even thinner? Basically Transparent?

Why not have the game load both open play and solo together, and have all player ships who are in open play Ghosted in solo.

That means I can then still see all the player ships in solo play, and I can choose to jump into Open play if I see one of my friends.

I'd also like to see all my friends showing up in Solo play just as they do with Open, just so I can always see where everybody is.

It would make the game feel much more alive as the Solo experience would now be packed with human players, and yet remain safe from people ramming each other etc. As well as encouraging solo players to go Open occasionally.

There's a huge elephant in the room. Its existence is never brought up by the "lock-into-open" players:

Xbone. Where is the hue and cry about "those lousy Xbox cheaters who I can't even see! They screw up the BGS! They mess up trade markets! They easily get around [open's] blockades!"

Now, why aren't the Xbox players lumped into the "solo/group are cheating with the modes" argument? Just see how many times it comes up in these rants.

*crickets*

What you're asking for in a round about way, is a PvE mode.
The ability to see everyone without them being able to beat the snot out of you.

Cause Elite isn't a MMO, it's a Co-Online-Solo, more like GW1 and Diablo3 than EvE Online.

Cause Elite isn't a Sandbox, else for Braben, we can't be on a faction, only a mercenary, and a mercenary don't care about politics. He just care about money.
But on elite, money is just a stat when you have Anaconda.

Here, you can see the BIG problems of Elite dangerous.

I cant see any problems there... and i have been looking for over 700 hrs.

so many promise this... so few actually stick to their word on it ;)

I know a lot of hardcore players in various and sundry games. You don't hear them whining for special privileges; they are not offered special privileges; they don't get "bonuses" and "special equipment" because of a way (mode) they chose to play.

In almost all cases, the hardcores are doing it for the prestige. Is it more difficult? It surely is. Does it affect their gameplay strategy? It surely does. That prestige (and bragging rights) is their reward.

Those who want "speshul rewardz" for choosing a "harder" mode would be laughed right out of hardcore discussions.
