This should bring a tear to your eye:
I wouldnt mind this music introducing Elite: Dangerous.
Or what do you think?
It obviously brings (in my case) the memories and experiences of the past Frontier Games fairly sharply into focus, in a good way.
The rearrangement of the theme music by Jamie Treacher is an example of the quality that one would 'expect' for a modern day equivalent of the original theme, so if Frontier wanted to keep the title theme and bring it into the 'modern' Elite, then Jamie's creation is again, a good example of what people in general might expect.
The questions that I've just posed myself though are these...
Should the title music convey a link to previous games?...or would it be better to create 'new' title music to reflect the (intended) ambience of the forthcoming new game.?...*shrugs*...or a combination of old and new.
In any event, the question can be, and probably is, an important and even perhaps emotional one imho.
