Call of the wild - A list of pristine metallic rings

TwoWheeledToad - (interesting handle)
I have changed the coordinates in the spreadsheet (tab - Metallic Pristine) to represent Cubeo if you want to take a look at "as the crow flies" distances to nearest Metallic Pristine

Thanks! Much appreciated! :D

Hi.
I listed that system.
I know that because I spelled it wrong once and got complaints.
But thanks a lot for the picture.
Regards,
Gorrister

Here is a nice system for you. No Metal-rich planets, but plenty of Metallic rings with pristine reserves.
It's rather far away from anything unfortunately. Really deserves a planetary outpost or an outpost or 3 around the rings. Empire systems naturally.
Pretty large system, so have broken it up into 3 images.

You do a great job detailing the Sys Map. Rep for you.
o

Thanks.

I'm on a break from exploring at the moment and doing a bit of mining on a metallic ring in one of the pristine systems I found. So far I like mining out here in anarchy space, it's peaceful like exploring.

I've downloaded the spreadsheet & opened it in open office, the formatting is all messed up, I tried calculating distance anyway, but it doesn't seem to work.
What's gone wrong?
.
Nm, I needed to save it as a .ods

In your spreadsheet, isn't COL 285 SECTOR IGB 150 meant to be COL 285 SECTOR IG-B B15-0 ?
And COL 70 SECTOR VG-IB40-0 is missing a space between I & B
.
Thanks for the list, damn handy :), only found 1 metallic ring in the list near me (40 LYs), if I find any others I'll post here.
.
3 metal rich planets in HIP 26444 so far! (but nothing much else).
.
My 1st (that I'm aware of) Pristine metallic ring finds :) :-
14 I Orionis - 1,5, 7 & 9
Inhabited, low security, co-ords 40, -60, -180
I didn't scan all the moons so their maybe some metal rich planets

For anarchy mining, I'm using FEHU as a base of operations. Of the two available stations in that system, Thompson-Keen Asylum provides the better sales prices.
The drawback to this system is that neither station has a selection of ships worth squat and there is no outfitting of use either. You can't buy a fuel scoop, a
collector limpet controller, or much of anything else you would need to upgrade your mining operations. Whatever you bring here from the bubble is what you
will have to work with. The only other choice is a long trip back to the bubble to fit out a better ship.

The trade routes don't show up either, but according to the commodities market data, TKA trades pretty much exclusively with TILIAN G-181-6. That's like 495LY
away in the bubble and at war right now. Even funnier, they sell TILIAN mined metals! but don't sell mining equipment here.

To make my mining Asp worthwhile, I opted to go without shields and bring my cargo capacity up to 100-tons. With that I can make 1 million credit hauls of
ore to TKA.

[edit] - The other drawback is that this system tends to be constantly in a state of Civil war. It has yet to really create interdiction problems, but I don't
know what the future holds. If I'm hauling 100-tons of Painite, Platinum, and Palladium into the station, will I look too juicy?

Do the benefits outweigh the limitations? I don't really know yet, I've only mined 859-tons so far for just under 11 million credits.

I don't mind sharing, but doubt anyone would come this far just to mine. BTW, since it's within FEHU's bubble; you can buy the system data.
P.S. There are pirates here sometimes.

For those not interested in going that far out, there is HR943 which is a populated system with 1 Class IV Gas Giant with major reserves and a Metallic ring. This system also sells a large variety of ships and outfitting. I'd buy a Type 9 and take it to FEHU to mine if not for the fact that I can't seem to outfit a type 9 with sufficient jump range to make it. So, think I'll take a Type 7 down there ~~~~ maybe.

I'm going to name this ship - the 32 million credit mistake. Well, it's here at least but I'm really unhappy with the cockpit and how badly it behaves with my TrackIr. Maybe it will grow on me....
She is an ugly brute, but I'm developing a liking for her. I think I was too fast to judge her capabilities.

[edit] Well, actually it didn't do bad at all. The TrackIr thing must have been on my end, a reboot and it went away. She's a slow lumbering beast, but the 5B thrusters allow it to jink around things. 4 pips to the mining lasers and they never overheat. 3 collector limpets do wonders. I can mine alot faster than the Asp I'd been using. Not sure how it would hold out in combat, I put 4D shields on it and two turreted pulse lasers.

Nice finds Gorrister, and 1 in SYNUEFE. It sure is deep deep down in the black. You're exploraconda must have good jump range, don't think my ASP would make it there.

What's your boost speed loaded & unloaded?

Btw what's FEHU?

Empty speed (1 pip to engines) - 87
Empty speed (4 pips to engine) - 174
Empty boost speed (4 pips to engines) - 309

Full speed (4 pips to engine) - 171
Full boost speed (4 pips to engines) - 301

FEHU is a populated system with 2 stations out in anarchy space. See the image, go down from the PP bubble far out into anarchy. See HR 943, that has a station as well and a metallic ring. Much closer.

I also got an Asp, no Anaconda.
With full shields and weapons.
But yes, it was hard to find the way out of there again once you're in.

Now I bougth a Python.

Found also plenty of bling bling.EliteDangerous32 2015-10-26 23-01-14-75.jpg

The T-7 is doing ok, doubled my profit now to about 2~2.5 million per haul. Not being too picky with what I'm grabbing at the moment
and minerals sell above galactic average price at TKA.

She sort of reminds me of this ugly Airbus, except T-7 doesn't have twin control seats:

Last 4 trips (avg = 1hr per trip including selling and rearming):

* 07 Painite, 49 Platinum, 18 Palladium, 40 Gold, 15 Osmium, 09 Silver, 07 Indite, 03 Gallite, and 05 Bert.
* 19 Painite, 28 Platinum, 50 Palladium, 32 Gold, 02 Osmium, 11 Silver, 12 Indite, 01 Gallite, and 01 Bert.
* 27 Painite, 45 Platinum, 56 Palladium, 28 Gold, 06 Osmium.
* 36 Painite, 10 Platinum, 22 Palladium, 28 Gold, 04 Osmium, 01 Silver, 05 Indite. [worst of all 4 runs].

In time, I'm sure I will refine my process and get pickier about what I pick up, it's just hard to pass up on a 54% rock full of gold.
Curious what selling all this metal will do to the economy here? Will it create a boom, cause more civil war, create stability, or nothing?

Small economy? A boom maybe?

*******************************************************************************************************

Stumbled across another pristine metallic at HIP 28122 ABC 1, which is 2099 Ls from Henry station (an outpost), which is 38 Ls from the A star. Their is also a proper station about 2800 Ls from the ring.
Co-ord's 40, -16, -130
