Did any one else notice that Jupiter also had dotted circles on it's surface.![]()

The atmosphere in passenger ships will be epic

Looking really good!
Just one question if that's OK. Last night as I was flicking through Facebook, I saw a post advertising Elite, and there's a really really nice picture showing some geysers. Will these sorts of things be in the initial release?

This reminds me of something:
Since Horizons was announced, I was thinking Frontier (or the OP) could recreate the "Earthrise" photo taken during the Apollo missions with a screen capture from an SRV.
It would be a lot of fun to compare them.
At the very least, I'm putting this on my to-do list for the Horizons beta.
Come to think of it: the earthscape is the Frontier logo. A clip of an SRV bombing around and looking up at the Earth could be a hell of a game launch teaser.
Why unrealistic? There are plans for cloud cities above Venus already, gas giants wouldn't be much of a stretch (considering the differences in astronautics of E: D & today). One day, a cloud city above a gas giant would be cool though (although unrealistic)...

No, but they have said that active volcanism is planned sometime during the next season.
So at circa 0.56 the HUD shows a red rectangle, what's that precious?
The red rectangle of doom.
Which implies that you're still in supercruise in orbital cruise but closer and slower thanks to the "Planetary Approach Suite". This begs the question: "Can you be interdicted from Orbital Cruise?"
Is it a new feature that the HUD body indicators (the "parentheses" around planets/stations etc) are now dotted lines if the body is obscured? Nice feature if so, saves you ploughing into a planet/star while trying to reach something behind it.
I certainly hope they add this for all nav targets and not just POIs on planets.
