Don't bother is my vote. Ignore their 'CG' If I could figure how to promote the entire idea systemwide, my vote would be: ignore CG!. FDev are clueless in the story telling department. We don't need/want another grindfest in order to merely read further down the page, never mind turn to a new page.

It's clear that Palin has a role to play. To expedite his part, it is now required we do the CG.
You don't have to, but I will. I don't consider it grind at all.
FD could have done this better, but this is what we have. We may not like it, but we have to at least work the system.

While I share your frustration, I do not take their approach to storytelling quite so personally.

Yeah - we waited a good long month, or even more, before getting much progress first time round - it's easy to get impatient, but we must not.

Well I'm scouring Synuefue ZE-Y d1-3 for materials. Trying to reach Andromedae. Nothing interesting to report. No new materials. No alien structures. I'm 2kLy from inhabited space and I've found the crashed probes with the data sources. No sentries from any so far (about four).
I did see some floating rocks doing what floating rocks do.. Still a bit weird
I also found an occupied escape pod. No idea what to do with it.. Might take em to Palin.
Found a couple of crashed wrecks with readings but no source I can pick up. Guessing buried or glitch.

So, just out of curiosity, why did it take so long to get an answer on this, when we first flagged it some time ago? People have been strung along because of this bug trying things (and wasting their valuable and limited game time, and that of others discussing it) thinking it was a deliberate game mechanic and part of the UA mystery. That is not right or proper, and I am starting to concur with Silent Pact in general. The same thing happened with the "disappearance" of the Voyagers and speculation about it being UA-related. Obfuscation through deliberate silence around known bugs and unacknowledged changes to internal game mechanics and their effects on previously known conditions (Voyager locations and how to find them) does not equal engaging game play or content. Yet sadly there seems to be some sort of deliberate pattern developing here.

So did the UA just erode down to 0% or how did it kill itself? I just made a 6:30 long voice recording and the artifact stayed at 100%

Ok, these graphical glitches are getting weird. Either I found a camouflaged Thargoid base, or my graphics card doesn't like this crater.
