UA Mystery thread 4 - The Canonn

has anyone tried shooting several hundred UAs in one of the systems where they spawn ? most here are against weaponizing them, but shooting large amounts in one system might lead to "something" server side for micheal brookes to react.

It's tempting to ask for clues - but the reason this thread made it to #4 is because of the vast number of commanders coming here, chipping in (and, on occasion, out) and contributing to the greater whole.

By plugging away, keeping our cool, and trying our best to enjoy the experience: that's how we'll move forward.

Reading the non-salty comments it's clear that lots of CMDRs are now also pursuing lots of avenues, and this is great - don't worry, we'll get there. We always have.

Agreed. I haven't contributed anything so far, but I've been an avid reader of the threads and following you guys and your progress since thread #1. I'll chime in once I have something worthwhile, which hasn't happened so far. I'm often thinking about any possible hints or anything like that. Here's hoping I'll have something one day! :D

I drove around the moons of Merope 1 A for quite some time, but didn't find anything. Doesn't mean that there's nothing, we just haven't found it yet. We just have to keep going I guess. :p

I feel stupid for asking this question, but once I entered a system UAs can be found in, where exactly will I find them these days, USS, strong signal sources?

Man, went to this thread to get an update on the UA's since horizons and to see what SRV's have to do with them and I see a giant show with a few people over reacting to some news that the T-series thing was just a bug.
I love the internet!

Anyway, what kind of experiments have been done on planet surfaces so far with the UA's?

I have been doing a lot of thinking. Which is very very dangerous I know.

I'm going to throw you a bone here. I think you need it :)

Stage 1

Find the barnacles (they do exist), mine the organic alloy to make the metal foam and you may have a cure for the stations.

Stage 2

Find the "unknown bases" and you may find more answers and more questions with regard to the "unknown artefacts". "Unknown Barnacles" may be located near the "unknown bases".

Thargoid ships are organic tech. Possibly using organic metals. The space barnacles are an organic source used in metal foam. It is "unknown" where they come from. Ahem...I have a good idea where! ;)

How do Terran marine barnacles spread around the earth?

What is their main means of indirect transport? This is a massive clue here.

The answer to this question is probably the most disturbing and worrying as it means we already have had "unknown ships" in our galaxy. If you find barnacles inside the bubble, you have a really big problem!

Start thinking like a Thargoid and you may find the "unknown bases" and other answers far more quickly. The longer you keep disregarding the potential of Thargoid orientated information, the longer you will keep running round in circles. All information regarding Thargoids is of course "unknown" (another bone).

The unknown artefacts have established a perimeter around Merope. This indicates a high probability that this is the "unknown" centre of operations. If you want to find "unknown bases" and "unknown barnacles", in their locale, I suggest looking in the space between the shell and Merope. This is of course a huge volume of space.
They could also be in far flung corners of the galaxy, but we need to start somewhere.

I am currently in the Taurus Dark sector working my way in towards Merope.

I have thrown you guys a very big "unknown" bone and many Bothans died to bring you that information.

It's up to you whether or not you digest it, or play with it and then bury it in the garden to be forgotten about.
Well, until some builder digs it up and phones the police because he thought it was a dead body.

Ps... the DBX seems to work best for finding things. Good range, good speed and excellent field of view.

Good luck in the "unknown"

Not as far as I know. Have at it.

Enter the system (Aries Dark Region GW-W D1-52 an example), get a little far from the star (~20Ls), turn around and gently fly toward the star. Watch left panel for Strong Signal Sources. The UA will be in the first one you enter.
You could occasionally spot a WSS or a Wreckage.
That's all.

In SSS. You will usually get one pretty quickly. It'll just have the UA and nothing else.

Right, so - if the barnacles are attaching themselves to vessels to get about, all we need to do is start vapourising every single ship we come across!

I'll get right on it! :)

Yes, but what ships were they originally attached to, i order to get into our space? ;)

You seem to be claiming quite a few things as fact that are unconfirmed as far as I know. Do you have evidence for any of this or is this role-play?

I have evidence. You also have evidence. The evidence was right in front of our eyes.

Only a couple of things there are hard facts. The rest is extrapolation based on those facts and previous findings.

Like I said, it's up to you guys whether you grab the bone, or drop it. Either way. I'm going to continue my own research.

I can't give you any more at present. When I find something more I will return.

I find the simple fact that MB posts here fascinating! I mean it's a clue by itself meaning this thread is important however this topic is not the whole game it's just one small segment of it.
Everyone who makes up a riddle wants it to be solved I guess the same is true here.

I'll be home in a few hours and want to see what happens if we let a ship be eaten up by the UAs on the planet surface. Most probably nothing will happen but it bugs me quite a bit. I'll need someone to witness me. Do you guys have a TS server?
