Did it happen recently? The corrupted scan? Or back at 1.4 startup when explortation was problematic...
Why CMDRs you don't start using EDDiscovery? It keeps track of every system you visit, just enabling verbose logging in the AppConfig file.
In this way, you can always know where you've been
It should be mandatory for any explorer.

Okay, I know what my next course of investigation is. It may take some time though;
Once I'm home from work tonight (about 10pm) I am going to scour the ENTIRETY of the outside of Obsidian Orbital. My hypothesis is that if the UAs are causing station malfunction, and given WHAT a barnacle is, then I'm wondering if there will perhaps be a small barnacle-like growth on the outside of the station.
Now, in relation to station size, it will be tiny. So this will take a while to scour, but it's what I intend to do. I'll record the whole thing for posterity (making use of my youtube account if need be) but I won't upload anything unless there is actually something interesting to show.
Hope you all have a wonderful day while I'm working, waah!![]()
Personally I think it looked like we were a little bit closer to the nebula in the trailer than you are there, it actually seemed considerably close and this is something I've been trying to work out and it makes no sense. Right now I'm thinking it's nothing since the place we see the nebula in the trailer is a civilized planet. I guess I'm just not expecting to find this think in civilized space. There's also the matter of being shown two more nebulas just before the clip we're all chasing after. One shows the blue-ish nebula and then with the crashed ship in the background we catch a glimpse of barnards loop again but it's very hidden and it doesn't appear to show any other features we could use to discern a location.
I'm not trying to say don't follow the lead, you may well be onto something. Just that it's also very hard to discern if the locations shown are related in any way or even remotely close to each other.
There's however something I was going to ask a couple days ago. Something that's never happened to me before happened out between that blue-ish nebula and barnards loop. When it happened I was already charging my framshift and I only realized what the message was saying as I reached witch space but whilst out there I used my unlimited range ADS between jumps as I always do to map out the galaxy, except as I was charging and after the ADS had registered objects I was treated to a new message which said scan data corrupted, pleas try again. Is this normal? I've been covering around 3000ly per day and never encountered that message until that system. I wanted to go back but it was too late, it was a jump that could have been up to 29ly and all the systems shared very similar names. In hindsight I wish I'd taken note of which system Iw as left in after the jump in case this is not normal behaviour.

Search for the Antares continues via Galnet:

"Wreckage Components" is one of the items I sold to Obsidian Orbital along with the Black Box I found in a salvageable wreckage site.
I don't know why, but this is funny.
In the middle of tin foil Science - Milk and Cookies.
Maybe you did put the wrong link ?
I may have read too fast, but I failed to see any galnet today who is talking about wreckage components or related to Antares.
I hate the "content" discussion because it such a vague term. It means different things to different people. For me "content" is things like UA itself and it's various properties (the convoys, the Morse, the distribution, etc); the Voyager probes and development of the skills necessary to find them; even unusual stellar objects or planets which are entirely the result of procedural generation. For others none of the this stuff is "content". Their definition might be handcrafted storylines or unique locations or being able to build something permanent in-game that they can point to and say "I did that". So what does "real content" mean to you?
It's there. Look again.
But i looked again, and only three post today : Security Digest, A CG-like announcement for delivery of special gifts, and the post for the Ed Lewis's special treasure hunt.
I read it all, specially the special gift and special hunt posts, but didn't saw a link.
In fact i think i may have seen it, but not understand it due to English skills![]()

Maybe your ISP caching things? Or maybe Frontier's servers not synched up?

Kinda weird Sirius pushing this, wasn't it suspected they were involved rather than it being an "accident", or am I confusing that with the Spaceflight One disappearance.
Yeah, we can stop it the spread - but the question is should we?
The speed with which Obsidian's card was marked suggests to me that any station receiving just one or two UAs is going to get added to the list of malfunctioning stations pretty quickly - meaning that the intention is to have more, not fewer, stations going down.
Once the whole thing is seen to be out of hand that's when the cure will come - probably via Palin.
At that point, player factions with faulty stations might find increased local traffic due to a grand CG or something like that - pure speculation, yes - but could be quite cool.
I have a few observations, for the VETERANS of this thread, about the thread's organization:
It's VERY IMPORTANT that we keep the first post of this huge multi-thread the most updated possible, so that we can point newcomers to it.
Now, seen that Dr.Arcannon cannot be active right now to do this frequently, and I'm a little tired to write the same replies to the same questions, again and again, since day one, I VOLUNTEER MYSELF to write the first post of the next thread, and I PROMISE to keep it always updated, on a day by day basis.
At a first glance, it could seem a huge work, but in reality, it's so much less than writing the same reply post a thousand time, every day.![]()
I'm already organizing a couple of other huge threads about ED here in Italy, so I'm used to similar tasks.
PS: If it could be possible to switch this thread's first post property already now, I'd be happy to update it myself even now.
What the......why people why???? Now I can't explore merope without having to go far distances.......who did this????
