Yes, you can. Due to the new Galnet article on the subject, i feel like it will probably be kept open, at least for some time. Obsidian orbital is in Maia

I've been scouring the interesting bits of Merope 5c all day, there wasn't anything interesting in them. I could almost say I had gone 12 hours without mistaking a rock for a barnacle, almost, stupid rocks.
Theory time: The possible barnacle things in the trailer glowed. They do have an organic look to them and we might consider what they use to produce their greenish light. Which made me think about bioluminescence, yet another thing I am not an expert in. What I can garner from wikipedia page is that ontop of a specialized enzyme you need magnesium ions, calcium ions, and/or ATP (adenosine triphosphate) ... I'm fairly sure calcium is not present as a material, unsure about magnesium (ive yet to find any if it is), but have seen plenty of phosphorus. Phosphorus is also fairly common so that lead may not help us narrow anything down. Is there a resident bioluminescence expert lurking around this thread by any chance, I'll pay you in space biscuits for your help with this theory![]()
They sure went through a great deal of trouble to stash that precious tea.
They are everywhere. Bases guarding stashes of tea.
There is only one explanation. The descendants of the British are worried about a future apocalypse where there is no more tea avaialble, so they are making caches of them throughout the galaxy in preparation for this terrible time!

You seen any base like the one I linked above on 5c?
Anyway guess I'll try 5B if you spent that long on C and found nothing so far.
Alright done for the night will resume my spreadsheet tomorrow.
So Far it contains:
- Distances from merope.
- Whether it's part of the nebula.
- Whether it's within the nebula or on the edge (and therefore somewhat debatable?)
- Main star Type
- How many Planets are landable in some systems
- Most systems that DO NOT have places to land (this eliminates them from searches)
Still ongoing! Take a look!

Well what a troll base in the middle of nowhere.
The whole thing was apparently built so that 5 sentries can protect 2 canisters of tea in the middle of it all. I mean, not even inside
Oh well..

On my way in to Maia... adding to spreadsheet data:
Pleiades Sector HR-W D1-41
7 Orbital Bodies
1 Landable ~1847 from star - Ice World. 0.30G Rotation 1.0D
I'm going down for a closer look.. following day/night rim, saw a bunch of close proximity POI's
I seen plenty within the bubble but I never thought I'd see that stupid tea/gold stuff out of it.
I haven't explored much out of the bubble but does this mean that you could go to the edge of the outer rim and still find sentries guarding tea near man-made structures? This doesn't make sense one bit..
Also, lol @ the brit/tea comment, it made me giggle![]()
Your spreadsheet is a good idea, but IMO we need to have a place to write down which coordinates or sections of a planet have been or are being searched. For instance, I have explored Maia B1BA 0,0 to 0,-17 since I started keeping track. This was largely an aerial search from 3km up, looking for structures large enough to be seen from air. So we could have, under Maia B1BA: 0,0 to 0,-17 (Aerial). This tells people that those coordinates have been searched from the air. If we have more of this information we can start avoiding people searching the same places and focus our search on the unexplored regions. Now, I'll admit this system isn't perfect. On some planets, it can be hard to effectively see an entire coordinate grid from 3km up, but it's far better than what we've been doing, which is just "I explored a canyon on Pleione 4" or "Check out this screenshot of the fog on this planet in Merope". I'm not against people enjoying the game and posting to that effect, but we do need a place where we can keep hard facts and coordinate a proper search. Your spreadsheet already has alot of useful information. Would it be possible to add our detailed surface explorations to it? Perhaps create a group of people who can edit it, and we can then sift through this thread for the hard data to add to the sheet? Over time, we will get a much better idea of what is on these planets, and if we still haven't found anything, at least we'll know we need to be even MORE thorough, though I think this will do the trick. If anyone has better ideas, please let us know. That's one thing a forum is great for - getting the good ideas out there, assuming they don't get buried in the flood.
Grats. You found a Tea Factory. I think that's what we're calling these now, right? Found one earlier today. Had a nice cup of Earl Grey while petting my UA.
Please make a note of your coordinates. Even if you don't find anything, it helps to be able to rule out areas.
In true frontier development forms, things lack variety, depth its always gold and tea ( nothing else well sometimes personal weapons and other bits) but the grindfest of this whole thing is fun but its rather poor form.

all well and good to have a grid search, but what about random POI barnicle/meta alloy sites. That kind of makes it null invoid except for fixed sites

Not that I'm disagreeing with you about it not being thargoids, but its not true to say there is NO evidence, there is some circumstantial evidence to suggest a possible thargoid connection:
1. they are communicating in morse, a human language (can be countered by the nav beacons spread around though, another race could have learned morse)
2. Pleione has ties to thargoids in the lore, and is in the Pleiades.
