Trust me, what I actually SAY while reading some of the more umm... ludicrous posts on here (not exactly pointing at this sequence of threadnauts but it dies seem to be a subject that attracts them) would not be acceptable on any family friendly forum. I try to be respectful even after I've turned the local atmosphere blue describing in rich blasphemous and biological detail what I think of what I'm replying to

About to switch cable companies as mine is quite expensive and I have had plenty of problems with losing th I net for days st a time sometimes a week or two. But they phoned the wife last week and gave us a discount because we have been with them so long and said they would upgrade the I net to either100 or200 meg(for free). Wife forgot what they said. I will keep them.for now anyway

Just wondering when the xbox one elite players will get the group play that the pc players have this will eliminate the problems that griefers cause and veterans will be able to fly with newbies helping them with starting play without having griefers shooting the poor inexperienced players down ... hope it comes soon guys

We are working on them, and they'll work in a similar way to how they do on PC, but (it shouldn't come as a surprise) they won't be cross-platform so you'll only be able to join Private Groups set up on and which contain Xbox players.

Any chance of them becoming cross platform in the future?..

It's unlikely due to the way that gamertags work, but it's not impossible.

Ok cool.. I just hope I won't have to start robbing NPCs because of possibility of open being deserted.

Private Groups are a contentious feature in an open world game with valid arguments on both sides.

Introduce them, but delay them as long as possible please. That will keep everyone happy

people have asked for private groups since preview, im pretty sure the delay has lasted long enough

You'll get them, which will make you happy. But you won't get them for five years, which will make me happy. It's a plan with no drawbacks

We are working on making Private Groups available for Xbox, it won't take us 5 years.

Most interesting is Gary's further confirmation that the implementation of Private Groups on XBox one is going ahead followed by his comment acknowledging that Private Groups are contentious in an Open World game with valid arguments on both sides.

It confirms Frontier's previous statements that they are aware that there are some players who do not like the game design but that, at the same time, the game design is not being changed:

Is there planned to be any defense against the possibility that player created minor factions could be destroyed with no possible recourse through Private Groups or Solo play?

From the initial inception of the game we have considered all play modes are equally valid choices. While we are aware that some players disagree, this hasn't changed for us.
