Just as a light interlude, here's the Veil Nebula West. Shame there's no systems inside it
Yeah, one of my favorites too. Passed by it a couple times.
Of course, I doubt a planet has to be directly IN a nebula... I'm sure close counts as well withing a certain LY range
Actually, The further out you go from human space the less types of POIs appear. You only have about 5, maybe 6, unique POIs that appear >1000lys out, and not all of those appear when you are flying. Oh, and there are no working skimmers as well.
I'm thinking of possibly heading out to Lagoon. MB did say to check nebulae(plural).
I'm sorry, but you demonstrate a complete inability to impose any such tax by your use of the phrase 'Chocolate Bourbon' as there is no such object. A Bourbon is a Bourbon and by it's very nature chocolaty. What's next, the Vanilla Custard Creme?

Are you near the equator? I've seen that on another planet and came to the conclusion it was some sort of graphical "knitting" glitch between the two hemispheres - the triangles were a bit like a rainbow - always just a bit further away!

Cool, I'll bookmark this and check it out later. I spent a lot of time in Atlas this afteroon and have had to take a break because this whole thing is driving me nuts.
I am unable to up-load the screen shot but it is very large, I guess it is going to become something in the future, but you can land on Ajoku 3.

It could be a clue! Kentucky is the primary state where bourbon is made, so we need to search within the coordinates of Kentucky on every planet!
We've been told that we may find barnacles given the right conditions, perhaps this is not necessarily planetary conditions but player created conditions. Has anyone tried ship mining lasers on mountain regions?

Yep, with innovative drive technology & meta-alloy structure/armour I think we will be getting a new class of heavy duty ship- all we need is the new super weapons to go with it & then maybe we can beat up on the....... UAs!!!

I can't believe I just gave rep for the word Banana... this thread, it does weird things to your brain, no wonder we haven't found any barnacles yet!

It's very sad to remember it, but we stayed stationary (that means very slowly cruising) in SC for hours, waiting for the right SSS to spawn in front of us. Rinse and repeat.
I fear and suspect that the mechanics have not changed too much, still.
The only slight difference is that, this time, you need to cruise a little much, and the POIs will spawn all around you, one containing the Barnacle, eventually.
The only real innovation since then, is that now we can have also persistent SS and POIs. That's why I prefer to hunt for them. At least they are somewhere.
I hope to be wrong, this time. But I doubt it.
Sorry to disappoint someone here but I doubt those mechanics are changed. There is nothing that lets me think it's different.
