Mine is a 100mb cable direct & I had no problems yesterday or this morning, in Solo mode, logged out to main menu & back in 32 times to get my 64T MA with absolutely no problem. Yet a chum on teamspeak & living within 12, miles also with a good cable net connection, was getting loads of problems this afternoonwith Solo mode & had no difficulty with Open. So perhaps its the alignment of Merope 5C with Barnard's Loop! Hope everyone is logging error reports!

Oh yeah don't do WiFi. cable connection here is great can always get 12mbps no matter the time o day.

cable connection for me, 80mb/s and sometimes there is bug with barnacles. As far s i'm concerned bug is on their side not player side.

I'm going to fulfill the mission for meta allooys, there is two wing of mine in vulture coming to trap the tapers =p I'll tell you what happen next.

Well it's not like ED servers are the fastest responding things ever. I mean it's easy to assume it's the player's internet connection but y'know.

I wonder if this issue is more likely on a weekend.

Gotta say it seems ok for me now, and coincidentally the forums seem low traffic, like players are doing other stuff.

Happens to me during week and approximatively 1h am (France / Paris). don't know. But the fact is that there we now where they are, but when you don't know you also don't know that you have to relaunch game times and times to make it appear.

Reading a bit, and checked the spreadsheet... Looks like several Barnacles are known in this area. Mine is near one of the others listed, but I didn't see more than the two sites while I was there. I've submitted the report to the spreadsheet, anyway.

EDIT: And while touring both sites, I did not see any of the large "ripe" Meta-Alloys on the spires. Only the smaller type.

I'm pretty sure that's the same one I posted before, there are 2 within visual distance.

Been thinking. Has anyone been counting the shell segments on each of the barnacles? I'm pretty certain the first one found only has 4 segments, not sure about the second on Merope 5C as I haven't visited that one yet. I'm guessing it might indicate age, and if the ones on Merope 5C are the smaller ones (remember MB also said the first one was one of the harder ones to find) perhaps it could indicate they have only just arrived there.

*EDIT: was wrong about the above, even my own screenshots show 6. My mind is going.... :D

So... now that we have the alloys... the only option is to sell at stations for credits, or take a mission that ends up in essentially no payout and being chased by an assassin? How anti-climactic. LOL

I never had the bug happen that high, but I never took damage when deploying from being "landed in mid air".

I did survive but it was tricky.
I disconnected just after I stopped recording.
I was expecting to keep falling and crash when re-logging back to the game but no, instead I just landed with the SRV without exploding or taking any damages...

Has there been any testing to see what gfx settings make it easier to see Barneys while flying over terrain? Im finding low settings to be best but want to know if there is a preferred setting.

It seemed like Horizons Detail Fx mod "flashes" them sometimes as they appear, though I haven't particularly tested it, just noticed a white pixel flash now and again.

But regardless I bet with something like the custom fx mods there's a checkbox for some graphical effect you could tick to make stuff like that more visible.

If you find something specific please let me know!
