The system map is pretty barren, nothing but an asteroid ring.

Good thing I hauled all these mining lasers 8,000 light years from home. If asteroids could scream, I wouldn't get any sleep at night.

You know, after almost a year of dabbling in Elite mysteries, I've learned one thing... be lucky or be thorough...I'm 99% sure that there was nothing hidden in that asteroid...

On to the next one.

You know, after a year of dabbling in Elite mysteries, I've learned one thing... be thorough or be lucky...
I can say with 99% certainty that there is nothing hidden in whatever is left over from that asteroid.

I thank you peeps, nope not quite what i was hopping for but if we don't look we would never know, i still have a few odd thoughts about the results, like how life support comes very close on rather a lot of occasions, and that the more threatening ships look to be somewhat like the result that i got for the anaconda, so yes will prolly need to do the Courier and the Dbs as leaving them undone just would not be right. Though the Sidewinder and Eagle wont get done no point.

EDIT: just had a heated discussion with my mate and he said my lining up to do the mappings was a joke and that i should have printed out the UA pictures onto some acetate and stuck it to the screen and then try and match up the angles, i have to admit that it is a good idea and i now feel like a lil boy that's been told my homework is just not good enough.
Only problem with this is i don't have a printer (well not a 2d one anyway) damit i can see me doing all this again fer some o these ships.

I had a go at lining up the barnacle planets in the galaxy map, now that we have another sample I don't think there is any clear "line". Just a guess but I think the UA shell probably defines the limits of barnacle distribution, and their origin is probably the Pleiades itself.

My heat is currently at 12% and I'll need to use up some materials soon for some more fuel.

I'll need someone to Initiate this instance and verification it will remain if I go into open so if there's anyone out there whom can pop by and check, that would be useful.

Descision finalised by system reset. Captured flag from dome site. Left one turret remaining in Serenity Valley. Survivors expected and wanted. Broke atmo and reached hyperspace before shutdown.
One for the Ages, might not be able to visit that rock again for a while :D

It's true that there was a lot of stressful action going on and it's a shame I was taking so long with my typing I didn't even see your post until just now.
A lot of things had been leading up to that battle and there's still plenty of work to be done.
At least I got a little sleep today and I have now refreshed the energy levels it's time for my daily dose of hormonic resonators (I have a blood test for those on Friday and after the relief I feel right now, I might just make it).
Sunny is poking his head above the horizon, Gully is flying around outside and later, I'll be with Mr. Albert Ross in the studio for the latest weather report.

Some of that stuff I was rushing to type up before the instant action order came in is actually genuinely giving me brain strain but once I've caught up on my sleep, baruch Hashem, I'll be able to move on a bit and sort out some of the "mayhem" going on around here :D

Federal President Zachary Hudson has confirmed that the remains of Starship One were among the wreckage recently delivered to Leoniceno Orbital. The search for the missing presidential vessel began two weeks ago, resulting in the accumulation of thousands of tonnes of wreckage, which was then subjected to rigorous analysis by Federal scientists. The analysis confirmed that the remains of Starship One had been located, prompting President Hudson to release a statement to the media:


"The loss of Starship One remains a tragedy, but I must admit to feeling a sense of relief at finally knowing what happened to the presidential ship."


President Hudson followed his statement with a surprising announcement:


"Our researchers have surmised that the destruction of Starship One was not instantaneous, and that the front of the ship may have suffered less damage than the rest of the vessel. This means there is a very small chance – and I must stress that this is remote – that some of the crew might have been able to reach escape pods. That's why I'm calling on the galactic community to support a second search – a search for survivors."


"Pilots who want to contribute to the search should concentrate their efforts in the Lyncis Sector, and in particular on the ON-T B3-1, ON-T B3-2, ON-T B3-3, ON-T B3-4 and ST-R B4-3 1 systems, where we believe further wreckage from the ship may be found."


The search is expected to begin immediately.
