...What strong hints are you referring to?
There will be an xbox port too.
"Thinking about it" is pretty weak sauce. How will he tackle first person locomotion in VR? I don't see why Oculus would forbid him to talk about it. They'd love to say it was coming soon. When I talked to dev relations last year, they weren't working with HG.
PSVR, I could see Sony wanting to remain shtum until a big announcement. But for the PC side, I haven't seen one case yet of a developer being vague about VR support and then suddenly delivering something amazing. It's always more like, they'd love to do it but don't have time or the interface isn't built for VR.

Exploration.. That's really what's drawing me towards it, more than anything else. Exploring a rich sci-fi universe is going to be good fun. Obviously existing in that universe via crafting or whatever else, is also going to be great. But primarily for me, its the exploration side.

I'm still not sold on this one. Very much thinking I'll be reading a spread of reviews before getting it. It's got the potential to be very very samey in the same way ED is and then beyond that even. But it's whether the game has the depth and variety in the core gameplay to overcome sameyness. If it can do that where ED has struggled then it's a definite buy in from me.

I'll also be holding off for the reviews as it may still end up being a very snazzy demo in search of game...
I'll also be holding off for the reviews as it may still end up being a very snazzy demo in search of game - things like the way the other spaceships look very much like things you can maybe shoot as they float by rather than things you'll actively be engaged with. The game does look pretty promising though. Fingers crossed!
...the real game is to get to the center of the galaxy... At which point I have to ask, 'Then what?"
It's not a galaxy, it's a quintillion-populated universe - after getting to the centre of this (!) you will seriously be asking 'Then what'...
...yeh...
[IT'S A GAME!!!]
