Yea and a question that has its fair share of white knights. They'll mostly reply with ''It's a company they gotta make money some way!'' or ''Get over it!''.
I doubt Eponymous will get an answer though. Seems like Frontier tends to coward out of tough questions.. piracy.. combat logging.
A bit harsh maybe
Piracy on the other hand... I've never tried it myself, I'm too nice ;-), but I wondered about the hatch breaker limpets and whether you can fire off more than one at a time.
If not, I think are many easy fixes there if they want to do it (and you keep asking them)
Or, how about a pirate based engineer who has all sorts of piratey upgrades for your chosen profession, such as;
Shield-penetrating hatch-breakers,
superfast hatch-breakers that can avoid point defence equipment,
armored hatch-breakers, or
superdooper hacker-hatch-breakers that temporarily disable the ship computer so you have time to pick up some cargo while the customer floats helplessly for a minute, or two, while they reboot (obviously dangerous for pirates of the less salty nature who won't take advantage and just blow up the customer).
Me, I'll stick to more friendly space careers, or sneaky smuggling at worst!
Edit- I just remembered engineers are planet based (mostly) so I don't think they could do it free as part of 1.6 after all. Pay to win it is then unfortunately!
