To be fair, saying you have one video as evidence that the assertion isn't exaggerated extrapolation does not work.
Other wise it is just one experience from Deebz__ and one from Moonax IRL
Those that have their preconceptions set in stone will not be convinced by a hundred videos either. The sum of insta-kill reports plus the video is pretty good evidence in my mind.

My original point still stands its not your "first hand" experience, where as I am telling you of my first hand experience so I reckon it supersedes you hearsay information.
Nope, but it only takes one occurrence of this bug in a number of days to ruin your game play. 8 hours without encountering the bug really does not mean anything.

Did you watch Deebz__ video? Link to the bug thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=255442
Without trying to add more sauce.. I lost 4M yesterday, died 2 times on an Asp Exp and rebuy is 2M. My thoughts? I have to be more cautious and be careful next time.
Aren't the Type 9s Hospital ships... You monster![]()
We've been discussing this video a bit. Plurality opinion is some sort of bug, either latency or other damage modifier error. Is this you flying? If so, can you confirm what kind of shield and hull you have?New AI is fine, except for the occasional glitches like this...

This was my initial thought, games harder, be more careful, this was after I got annihilated by a Conda without even time to think about what was happening, then came more interdiction's, almost one after another, but what really did it for me, was being chased off by an Adder and a Courier heavily engineer modded, I've tried a few more times to mind my own business and just trade, now I'm hesitant about leaving dock, it's not a fun game, heck it's not even a game when you're just sitting there.
That the sum of their experience are good evidence against that assertion in their mind
The experience does not seem to be uniform, there is evidence from both camps
Reading your posts the same set in stone preconceptions could be said you too, so... where to from there
No I didn`t watch it as the night is getting long in the tooth but my experience is as described and don`t believe the hyperventilating from sectors of the community. You can bring out your conda to play, just have your wits about you and a reasonable loadout and you will be fine. There are no immortal AI boogie men out there waiting to tear you limb from limb and consume your flesh. Usually that`s the real life Cmdr`s![]()
summarising what i said before about what happened to me - how do you pick who interdicts you? a master rated viper interdicted me, demanded my cargo, the after a pause opened fire. i fired back but my shields went down and i had to start evasion because he had boosted behind me. my hull down to 74% and powerplant to 58% in 30 seconds. The AI is hard now, but thats a good thing.
You have to be really considered in your engagement choices and take care to have a loadout specific to your goals. A one size fits all combat build for assasinations, bounty hunting, piracy and res just wont cut it any more.
Looking at the skill level of the NPC you're about to lock horns with is vital now. I just got destroyed in my tricked out vulture (I'm combat expert rating) by an Elite Viper mkIV. He used his speed to keep me turning and targeted my thrusters and engines, just like you'd expect a top tier pilot to be doing. I wont be just engaging anyone lightly anymore.
I really feel that this is a great thing and the shot in the arm that the combat aspect of the game sorely needed. I got ganged up on in a combat zone yesterday and got zapped in minutes by enemies working intelligently together and using combat specific loadouts.
FD, PLEASE don't dumb it down!!!!!
Having real choice and consequence in combat is really very exciting and it's taken what was becoming very ho-hum, by the numbers combat, and turned it into something you really have to think about for each engagement.
Yes it's hard, but thats a good thing and adds realism.
I havent encountered any single targets of low combat rating yet, but I anticipate that they are considerably easier to kill.
If you're finding the combat too tough, wing up, or be more intelligent in when you engage and when you run.
In the poll, I voted "just right".
