Settle down there champ, I was referring to the people you described that are concern trolling on the SC forums, not specifically you. Nobody is trying to take your freedom. That said, I respect your veterancy on this forum, but it doesn't make my own opinions any less valid.

Fair enough,seems that at least you start to talk a bit more civilized,just keep that other guy your companion"Gríma the Wormtongue" close on leash...and teach him how to behave on light...and dont worry we are all "ears" in here when ever you have to said something new or interesting about the game you will be more than welcome to do that...your opinion counts as everyone else.......

As for your answer; to be brutally honest, I half-expected you to spin it like the best Conservative or Republican spin doctors try and get particularly bad news for their superiors seen as a positive amongst the voting public.

At least you aren't happy with the handling of this E3 mess by CiG. It's a start.

I mean, are the fans happy with Hello Games for the delay on the NMS release that was revealed the other day? Definitely not.

The equivalent is happening over on the Star Citizen subreddit right now.

Now, some folks have a reasonable point. If CIG is going to be hard-pressed to release Squadron 42 by the end of the year, and they had some big presentation planned that would have required development time, I'd rather CIG drop the demo and stick with working on the game.

But, if that's the case, we need to hear it from CIG. We need to hear them say "guys, we've run into something that's got us stumped, and it's put us months behind" or whatever.

Again, the term "circle-jerk" is being applied to posters on this thread who have been long standing members of the E community. People who have purchased the Frontier title AND put some of their hard earned dosh into Star Citizen.

As I said earlier, I also own E;D.

They have offered usually very well balanced views regarding the latter project and, strange as may seem to you recently arrived forum users, are old enough and mature enough to make up their own minds about the progress of said gaming venture by looking at a variety of different sources.

Calm down with the passive aggressiveness there, skipper. I suggest you read this thread again. Not all of it of course, but just take a few random pages. You'll find enough mockery and hate. I wonder if you'll still call the stuff posted here "well balanced views" if you look at it unbiased.

I agree on the name calling. It is, however, not bait to get this thread shut down. Your fellow posters here are doing a good enough job with the off topic comments in the last 5 pages already. Funnily enough all of them people with a lot of posts

All you are doing is re-enforcing the opinion that folks such as yourself are incapable of listening to ANY sort of criticism or critique being offered at Star Citizen.

I came here to discuss. Instead I get shouted down or downright ignored because I am supposedly a sock puppet. Wew. Not toxic at all lads.

Oh and btw, if you want to see REAL example of "circle-jerking" in action, then you'll not have to look further than the RSI forums themselves, where even the slightest hint of discontent with Chris Roberts vision is shunted off the main pages. So I find you guys describing the forum members here as being in an echo chamber as being rather ironic to say the least.

Funny that you must mention that place (I don't really go there), have you ever seen the E;D thread there? What a difference. Seriously though, this thread has mainly been the same handful of people circle-jerking over every perceived failure of CIG. As soon as a few people who don't hold the same opinion get here, the merry circle-jerk gets disturbed and people get defensive and toxic. The CIG forums might be an echo chamber, but it is Starcitizen's forum after all. This is a SC thread in the E;D forum. Big difference.

I'd like some more condescending lecturing, as if most of the participants of this thread haven't watched the project for years or backed it. Hearing the same boilerplate stuff you can get every day from the SC subreddit or RSI forums is really a breath of fresh air! I'd like to be told I don't understand game development while being quoted excerpts from "Around the 'Verse," because I'm unable to watch silly videos myself.

Now, let us bow our heads and pray for unity, for the courage to comprehend and carry out the FULL VISION... So has anyone outside of that Dev or CiG staff been able to land on a planet? Obviously if the answer is "The ETF can but they are under NDA so they couldn't tell you even if they wanted to", well that is effectively a "No" then.
Think of how many great videos, twitch streams, publicity they could generate with players taking all manner of ships from Olisar down to the planet surface.

Why hasn't such a complete piece of code been released to the PU? It would certainly silence naysayers who said at the time it was a video and the Dev was faking any semblance of interaction with the shown footage.

You don't have and ETF account that I can assure everyone here- Even if you had access to it you would not land on planets BUT, you do get to do it if you visit Frankfurt offices I know you are short on funds so you could try and kick-start a visit to Star Citizen Studios around the world, you would easily get more money that way than selling Line of Defense early access "game". Well sometimes is crucial to use some words to explain true meaning of the sentence ,I personally dont mind even when some ppl. use words like goons,haters,white knights,cultist,shills,smarts(I use them 2)...but there is a thin line between this words and when someone calling ppl. "cancerous" individuals even if is it in a good way as he claim.........you are a smart guy you should notice the obvious difference....

As far as I know there is no planet stuff yet, except for what they showed in the trailer. Nothing else has been shown or communicated to the public, besides that the "Magical Germans" as they're called here, are working on it.

I have a problem with people crying to the mods when the word goon was being used but had no problem in calling others whiteknight, shill or cultist. And the best way to avoid problems, bans and the thread closed is to avoid name calling everyone who not think like you.
