Didn't you know that exploration is a sideshow? And what does it say that it's the best part of the game?

It's purportedly been stated by FD that exploration will not play a relevant role in the Dangerous Games. It's also been stated by Sandro that Powerplay is this game's version of consensual PVP, apparently disregarding CQC.

Who are they trying to appeal to and will there be anyone left when they're done?

Maybe people with low fiber diets that like wrestling tigers...

Jaques system is indeed no longer in Famine state: "Recovering State: Famine".

So well done, all those who brought in food for the 750 souls on board this distant port of call.

The "distribution" locations have gone, as have the SEEKING FOOD signal sources. Interestingly, I didn't see any debris fields, either.

Demand is now very low to zero for food. Amusingly high for alcohol and smokes (of course). Demand has returned for consumer goods, machinery, medicines, metal and minerals. Water, also.

Still no missions on the board.

Miners, do your thing! :)

Its pretty sad we couldn't at least get cartographics, missions, or repairs out of the MA bombardment.... gone are the days of them rewarding people for going out of their ways pushing to get something done, clearly not in the interest of the fd teams ideas..

Even in the short time since pilots started arriving at Jaques, good progress has been made...

5/7/3302 - Only food and meta alloys in demand
6/7/3302 - Possible to buy cartographic data within 20LY of station, while docked
7/7/3302 - Commodity market demand appears for metals, minerals, consumer goods, etc. NPCs seen in supercruise.
8/7/3302 - The 750 residents are running short of food - famine state. Food is the only thing in demand.
9/7/3302 - Food situation no longer critical - post-famine recovery. Mining and meta alloys are the order of the day again.

It's not constructive, trying to goad the game designers into making "stuff" happen faster. The above list is like five days of activity. We shouldn't want to have 95% of explorers busy pushing community goals for Dangerous Games, but magically have "Jaques Station is totally fixed" happen. That's Participation Certificate stuff. :)

When Jaques gets mass player focus, you'll know it.

Greetings Commanders,
As an official representative of The Wolf Society, a small french minor faction, I am pleased to announce my participation in this humanitarian mission.
I come with my cargo loaded of 24 tons of meta alloys and 72 food cartridges.
I have just done a first step in a little less than 1,000 ly, and I have about 20k ly to go to reach Jaques Station.
I know that the 700 peoples aboard the station are desperately short of food so I'll do it as fast as I could.

There is talk on the news wires that the local faction at Jaques will be expanding into another star system. I'm not quite sure what that means but it is interesting.

Back in the old days, we had to fly back all the way to the bubble to sell our exploration data! *grumble*

You still do today. But we hope to change all that very soon, and create an oasis in the galactic desert, not too far from the core. A base of operations, or somewhere for a weary traveller to drop by for a beer.

Luxury!

Anyway, I'll have to pick up Dilbert from the Bubble at some time, but for food/MA transport the Conda was needed.

Just not looking forward to 2 10 hour stints. :)

Typically, factions can only expand into populated systems, and if it can't find one within the designated distance (25ly or something like that) the expansion fails and enters an "investment" state that will increase the search range for the next expansion attempt. It's always possible that Frontier will special-case this one, but given how early in the story it is, they probably won't do it until later.
