Commander WR3ND reporting in to submit stellar system EOR AUG EW-W F1-228 for your consideration.

I think it'd be pretty cool to have something in this system for scientific research "tourism," maybe a research outpost or deep space probe of some sort. It's a black hole, white dwarf, and neutron star system which contains the three main known end phases of star evolution, so likely a very old system that has been through quite a lot – it's just 2 million years under being 13 billion years old according to the system data, so nearly the age of the universe itself [woah] – with two terraformable terrestrial water worlds with carbon-water based life, one with a moon.

What kind of life could live and evolve there and sustain itself in that kind of an environment for so long? Perhaps some form of life more advanced than we can comprehend dwells within the watery depths of these worlds. [alien]

The system sits up a bit "above" the galactic plane toward the galactic core.

The moon can be landed on now, by the way. This is an older picture.

...

Apologies for not having any glory shots to show off. I found this system before landing on worlds was a thing during my expedition to the galactic core last year. I do definitely plan on returning there though. [up]

I have to revisit the place to get a visual, but in theory this is a tourism spot for extremophiles:

Close to the border of civilization just besides the Border Coalition. Aside of hosting two groups of twin planets with a b-astard brother, the local gas giant is part of the most extreme bodies in the universe.

Composed of - in theory - a metallic hydrogen-helium alloy around its planetary core, a helium atmosphere surrounds it with frozen hydrogen crystals of the density rivaling diamonds. This is no nebula to supercruise in 1.8G, this thing will kill you, shredding your hull during descend worse than pure sandpaper.

Quote Larzok:

"And off the port side, we see Vivien's Terror.... A world so cold it snows bizzare hydrogen razor blades, that would freeze you to death before they could slice you to ribbons if they could exist at human survivable temps."

And please, don't fire an energy weapon in the lower atmosphere.

We are still trying to "rebuild" our colony there (bug), but HIP 89396 A 2+3 are two close proximity blue gas giants which refract the light of the local sun from behind. Their close proximity turns them into two staring eyes on all who dare to visit this graveyard of a once proud colony.

Tourism: Gugu System

My recommendation:

Gugu system, Corte-Real Dock.

This small, independent system lies on the edge of the bubble, many claim it is a wretched hive of scum and villainy. The truth is, it's a beautiful hidden gem in the bubble with it's many stars. The only space station in the system, Corte-Real Dock (a "Coriolis with arms") orbits a vulcanic planet, Gugu CD 1 very closely, and shines in the purple-red lights of nearby stars.

The system is currently ruled by an anarchy faction, Gugu Society, but I'm working hard to bring order to Gugu. :)

The station inside, has a rusty feel:

Pilgrimage to Baten Kaitos

Baten Kaitos A1

This is a popular pilgrimage spot, where followers of the Church of the Great Space Whale go to meditate and seek enlightenment. The faithful will often disembark here, find a crater to sit in and study their navel, while repeating the chant “have you listened to them?”.

Location: HIP 104318 3 A and 3 B

CMDR name: Robert Todd

Why I like them: Circling each other at a distance of a mere 6Mm or so, the ice worlds HIP 104318 3 A and 3 B afford the visitor fabulous vistas, both from orbit and from the surface of either body. The larger, 3 A, is bluish-white with streaks of orange and has three planetary bases; the smaller, 3 B, is light brown with yellow craters and canyons. Both are landable, as are the other two moons of HIP 104318 3: 3 C, pale yellow with light blue valleys, and 3 D, duck-egg blue with touches of white. Pastel perfection!

NAT9481 is one of the most massive stars in the bubble. It's violet glow makes its closest planet look like melted cotton candy ice cream.

Morris Hub is one of the newest planetary outposts on the edge of the bubble. It sits in a canyon that has cut through the rim of a large crater and boasts a great view of the otherwise difficult-to-see Coalsack.

For the discerning traveler who feels that the trip should be as captivating as the destination, we present the tour we have dubbed 'The Explorers Dream'.

This once in a lifetime journey will see you leaving 'the bubble' of occupied space and heading 26,000 light years into deep space. As we travel, we will stop to take in the incredible views of several truly beautiful planetary nebulae, enormous gas giants and mysterious ammonia worlds where we can only imagine the appearance of previously unkown types of life.

Our final destination is DRYI AUSCS KL-X D1-6138. In this system is an Earth like planet like few others, for which the tour is named. Explorers far and wide hope to discover such a planet and yet few are known to exist. This Earth like planet is nearly twice the size of humanities birthplace, with almost 1.5 times the gravity. Not only does this celestial wonder have an incredible metal rich ring, it also has a landable moon! This is where we will make camp. This system is not far from the super massive black hole 'Sagittarius A*', which means the sky is filled with thousands of visible stars. In addition, this moon is not on the same elliptical path as the planetary rings. You will be presented with a view of both the planet and its rings that you will never forget.

Due to the extreme distances involved in this tour we can only offer it semi annually, and tickets sell out quickly. Included in this brochure are details and pricing for the tour, based on party size and which vessel is chosen. Rest assured that our entire fleet of vessels contain modified drive systems to allow extended frame shift jumps. It is this new technology which makes this long distance trip possible.

For an extra charge we now offer guided SRV tours of several scenic vistas on the moon. In future we will be offering trips to the surface of the planet.

Immediately after launch:
Incoming mission critical update.
Our client wishes to reach the destination as quickly as possible to begin his vacation. As a result, we are offering you a bonus of 100 credits if you can reach DRYI AUSCS KL-X D1-6138 in 0 minutes and 0 seconds:p

Here we have an Ammonia World with rings. Located approximately 14,423 light years from Sol. The Ammonia World is 5.35 Earth masses and has three moons. Two of the moons are in close binary orbit to each other so you can get a view of the Ammonia World and the binary moon that you don't choose to land on. When I took this picture, the star was in front of the Ammonia World and it still looked spectacular. If you manage to get the orbits right, it would be even nicer!

This system was found on the return trip from Jaques station, so there are MANY nebulae visible in the sky from either moon.

System name: BLAA HYPA GB-A C3-84. The Ammonia World is the 4th planet from the star. Land on either the 'B' or 'C' moon depending on the orbit for best view.

Don't miss this concert at the iconic Grey Rock amphitheater (as always don't forget to BYO ATMO!) featuring KYP and the UNKNOWNS a cutting edge band experimenting with music inspired by the recently discovered Unknown Artefacts and Probes. And folks - Eta Cassiopeiae Salutes You!

A moon orbiting a ringed gas giant (class 4 IIRC).
With a white star providing light.

It's on the way to Sgr A*.

The moon is made of solid metal, and the location given is a series of metal plateau, these are nicknamed "The 38 steps" where an explorer can sit down with a cup of tea, and review the odd biscuit.
