Plea for Miners to move to Jaques Station start a new society

As soon as i got the L5 FSD Upgrade i'm gonna fill up my shiny new T9 with goodies and head out

I'd love to live on Jaques Station right now and see the big birds coming in one after the other ...

I'll head out myself once the upgrades to the 'conda are complete, it's a 3-4 day trip out. I may outfit it for mining as well, not tried that yet.

other question and important : once CG completed, when will the services will be back AND what kind of outfitting will we have ?

For instance, if I knew I could have good limpet and prospector, SRV, .... I would not take these with me now and just bring racks full of commodities.

How does this plan sound: I'm downgrading my mining Python to carry more cargo but leaving at least one 5A collector and a prospector. Carry all cargo out, no limpets assuming that the CG will at least restore repairs and restocking. I will only be able to make one trip out so If I'm right, I'll still be able to mine once the first CG is complete. If it restores outfitting as well then all the better but I'm assuming this will be multiple CG's to get the station fully up and running. My only decision now is whether I try and grind out a level 5 upgrade as I'm running an ok level 4 one now. (21LY fully laden)

If so then this CG will require MANY active CMDRs in order to merely complete. And if I know FD, the tier reached will determine the services available at Jaques.

I must be one of the few explorers who kind of feels "meh" about Jaques and the new bubble. So far it seems like too little too late content to me. On the other hand, I do like overcoming a good challenge now and then, so maybe a ridiculous CG is just the thing to get me in the mood.

It better not include any decals though! I'm on a flawless losing streak I don't want sullied. [haha]

Yes, this is a trading CG, out and back. I was originally going to take my Asp on the August Expedition but I’m now taking my Python instead, in full explorer/trader outfit. The Asp just can’t carry enough with the 6A scoop and shields in place while also taking both scanners. I’ll take the Asp out after Jacques is fixed up.

I’m just the opposite, this whole Jacques deal and a “new bubble” has me very eager to play Elite. Establishing a new mini bubble of systems 22K+ out from the main bubble will be fantastic for explorers, and I will do anything I can to make that happen!

Why 5A life support? If you lose your canopy out in the void, youre good as dead so...
Also, why extra fuel tank? Because of that 5A scoop?

And that got me thinking my T-9 setup... Not until you said about no scanning the planets, it hit me that who wants to maneuver with this elephant more than needed, i already have Elite status on exploring so i dont need the money.
Hmm.. i might just have to reconsider few things before Sundays launch.

Tier 5 Engineer FSD range mod at least. If you're a "real" explorer, getting teir 5 shouldn't take more than a solid day's worth of gaming. Shoot me a PM if you want some pointers.

If you're after modular terminal, you're probably after a grade 3 upgrade from Farseer, so the strange solution has to be 'atypical disrupted wake echoes'

All you need is a wake scanner and camp a starport for a few minutes scanning ships' wakes after departure.

You'll be done in no time.

Modular terminal though... might prove more of a challenge.

Yeah, just ground for a 5A FSD with Elvira, so think I have to do all of them again with the same 6A FSD. I was already working on it and thanks for the help.

This commander has bravely set out in a shieldless Keelback to journey to Beagle Point. They have no mining laser or SRV (I'm not even sure if they have Horizons) and no jumponium. I tried mining for jumponium with them last week but we only managed to get one unit of Vanadium in the metallic ring around the planet Jaques' station is orbiting, so they will need some more help (I am back in the bubble now). The system Jaques is based in has all types of rings, so everything should be available there for J1 and J2 jumponium. It would be great to see Tom the Keelback reach Beagle Point in Bob's memory and Tom is also carrying the 'Wanderlust' legacy.

If i lose my canopy it wont be in the void. this is to ensure i make it there and back without some npc shooting out my windows.
The extra tank so i can go longer stretches without refueling and then do something usefull while my t9 refuels at a star. Thats why i have ditched the c4 cargo and went for another fuel tank. got it to 400T cargo and 96T fuel now.

i won't be participating in anything in the next time because of great weather outside and stuff like that
Tho i do intend to make 2 trips to Jaques. Also i couldn't be bummed to level up to 5 with Martuuk so i got myself a LVL3 FSD mod. Lets me jump close to 16 LY on full cargo and fuel and close to 21Ly when empty. On my return the ADS data should be enough to get to 5 and go for the big one.
