They forgot to add this update:


  • Removed solo and private group mode
  • Combat logging now results in a 30 day ban for the first offence, increasing to 60 days for the second and 120 days for the third.

If you don't like the way other people play their games perhaps you should go back to something else - you know, like Solitaire or Freecell.

BTW, you guys are British, aren't you? Shouldn't it read therefore, "UNscheduled maintenance," British humour being as dark as the tea...? [big grin]

I think that by the time the infinite ammo gets fixed, people would be so used to it that they'll complain about the "bug" of ammo running out.
 
People need patience. They said "about 60 mins" and it's been 69.

Well not that I don't have patience but I've just installed the game, played for about 15 min, reconfigured the controller settings then launch for my first mission.
And then just when I was about to jump to super cruise, got disconnected and got that "Client too old" msg. Been trying to update and validate since...

I have the day off and I now hope we get to download this update soon, the game looked very promising and I surely don't want to waste my day waiting for a patch...

yeah the problem is how could you prove it was a deliberate log? what if your internet, or computer crashed? Even if that would seem dubious, you could always present this defense (at least the first time). Its why you'll never see combat log bans. Increasing the timer maybe. That's it. also i play only in solo and have combat logged on occasions when faced with situations (like say was gonna die because of instant interdiction bug). I don't see how this affects anyone else's experience of the game so i shouldn't be punished for this. i do defintiely think though that if you log when facing players, then why don't you just play solo? That's what it's there for.

If you didn't have the forethought to make sure your stored ships had room before you started hoarding, then yes,sorry.

You miss the point. From a logical point of view, you shouldn't HAVE to fit cargo racks on ships that are either not designed to carry any (Vulture...) or don't need any because it's not their role (combat-oriented ships). Which makes imho the whole idea of introducing commodities into the recipes a very, very stupid idea that's actually not been forethought not by the players, but the devs themselves.

over the course of time both players will find very similar loot if looking in similarly likely places, it's absurd to think otherwise.

Are you really so sure of your statement? Because I see some people say they got plenty of something (say, Germanium) on planets that were supposed to have it, but also even MORE people saying they spent hours driving around and found none or close to none. As a personal anecdote, I went a number of times on planets that supposedly had some materials I was looking for, and found nothing. As late as this morning, I went to Deciat 4 to get some Yttrium, becasue the Engineer's Galnet Herald said there was some. Guess what, I found 1 piece of it only. As well as 2-3 Tin and a fair bunch of Germanium. That's why I don't really imagine everybody ultimately gets the same average drops at the same place...

Just finished a long day at work. Everyone is out of the house and I'm waiting patiently..... Well done chaps but put some more coal on the fire.
