Just gonna drop this in here because I do remember some questioned the networking.

Granted that his isn't CIG's tech but it's a nice representation of how it will work which is basically how I described it several pages back.

Nobody knows how CIG's networking implementation will actually work. Not even CIG themselves.

Not sure what's this got to do with Star Citizen since this is the technology for a custom built engine, that actually works...

briguy168, a simple question: have CIG explicitly stated that they are using the massively multiplayer server technology described in the Dual Universe developers' diary video? And if so, where?

ok perhaps it is because i dont speak American but what does "through Monday, August 22nd, 2016" mean?

does it mean it is free from now through TO Monday (inc) or is it JUST monday?

I am not trying to be obtuse, and it does not affect me as i am a backer, but i do know a few who may try it, but given we will be at work on monday it is not much use if not free at the weekend.

PS the booth looks nice

I'm(almost) sure it means from today until Monday.

As been said DU using UNIGINE 2 game engine that is almost brand new,it is a bit naive to asssume that CIG can do the same thing with the outdated and network problematic crytek engine don´t you think?Or maybe CIG planing to abandon CE and start using UN2?Or you think that game-engine plays insignificant role in here?

Impressive. Is it just me, or is that quite a big stand for 'no big announcements'?

Time will tell, but I'd be very surprised if they didn't have a few significant surprises up their sleeve(s).

A big stand? Hardly. Remember, this is just a look at CIG's stand in isolation (a month or so ago, someone on the SA forums showed the floor plan for all the exhibitors at Gamescom, and CIG's two booths are amongst the *smallest* out there, far smaller than actual major big hitters like EA and Bethesda who will also be there).

It would be nice to see a comparison between this booth and some of the other publisher booths at the event. :)
