Ahah that's the beauty of it :) it's all seamless you saw they messing up the landing of the freelancer in the planet :) This is the real deal that I was talking about. No other company does this!
…aside from Squad and FDev and Keen and quite a few more.

And it looks almost entirely scripted — that's not really “beautiful” as much as “made up”.

I don't want to hype SC, but 30k viewers is still 15 times the amount that Elite Dangerous gets during the live streams at Gamescom.

One thing CIG does better is their marketing.

They have a lot of followers that are extremely hardcore fans, ED do not have that (thank GOD).

They should ask CR to get whover to switch between 1st/3rd party view for the character on demand - just so we can be sure like..

For a project that desperately needs to keep it's core audience's wallets open to maintain funding for all of CR's crazy, ever-changing blue-gray schemes, only getting half the numbers they pulled in last year isn't a good sign.

Luckily for them at least some of us will buy vehicles you can't drive on planets that don't exist!

"This is all seamless. There's no loading screens, there's no nothing."

There's no networking either, you disingenuous man!

Ultimately he's right.

Star Citizen: There's No Nothing!

It was impressive, but what do you mean "No other company does this"?

Just another , there are several who does it, we just don't talk about it because CR is the savior of space game, even though he do talk a lot about Elite and NMS.

Elite hardcore are 40ish, British and have better things to do.

Yeah, it must be the British and things to do part.

It's funny how most of their spells appear to be just doing Elite Dangerous stuff with HUD color change. I bet they don't have a slider for it either!

Murky EVA footage now. No way they got those effects going with stable networking.

A body floats in a murky blue-gray space.

"Let's push him out of the way."

or clip through anyway, Chris. I'm guessing collision detection in a fps engine in year five is a bit much to ask!

This is a thing of movies, absolutely nuts.

So they are copying E

while simultaneously criticising it? Pathetic.

"basically, Elite Dangerous did all this. A year ago."

[big grin]
