Because there will be no need to consider you jump range on more than one ship, So i can have one anaconda with a 50LY jump range and just take it everywhere then jump in my other ships instantly this will unbalance the game and everybody who thinks, understands this danger, Frontier are going to a lot of trouble in there game design to counter meta-builds and promote variation instant transfer will be counter to that objective. Mark my words young padawan instant transfer will never see the light of day.
It,s game breaking you can ignore that fact frontier will not, they will have to find a way to mitigate it.

Please don't ask me anymore stupid questions read and think.

They haven't even solved the thermal shock problem, and that's pretty much game breaking unless you're *really* on form with your heatsinks (or stay in solo), you're being a bit optimistic there chummer.

Well, again - your opinion. Doesn't make it fact, or necessarily mean everyone feels the same way. Considering this some kind of game-shattering change seems... histrionic to me.
Never said it was fact.
However I do think it goes against the goals set in the early dev vlogs.

I think it removes more than it adds.

What ever FD do , its up to them. and I will accept the final resault. however I will do everything in my power to make sure the ballance , realism and meta have at least some lip service.

Sometimes I dont think elite is the game I backed in 2014... I still love it , but its not as hardcore , as immersive or as in depth as it was said to be.
However its still very young , still much to be added.

May not be game breaking , but its a big loss if we can just swtich with nearly no price (beyond a tiny chip out of credits that , lets be honest nearly grow on trees in the current game)

Actually, my life is hard to plan. I work a rotating 12 hour shift. My normal shift is 4am to 4pm, however, it rarely works out that way.

I generally get moved around to cover shift changes so someone is on the road. I also get the FNG's, and they're generally working for us part time while they keep their full time job until they pass training. So, we work around their schedules. I'm also a traffic homicide investigator, so I'm on call 24/7.

I wish I could plan my life. Maybe some day. I wouldn't know what to do.

Maybe you should reply to MY post instead, eh? ... you know, the one that is not about your private life? ;)

Only 78% of people agree with Privata that there should be a time delay. Are we all being "hysterical" too?

Sorry man, you're defending the destruction of the illusion of distance and scale of the galaxy. That's not a minor detail in the fabric of Elite gamespace.

Well, over a thousand posts in under 24 hours, many by the same people, I think it's fair to say someone's being hysterical.

Mind, I said you were being histrionic, not hysterical, but interpret that whichever way you feel suits you better.

Could someone explain me how this 19 hours timer to jackes station is going to make my FDL with a D grade fsd less imbalanced?

Because at this point the only thing I see is a waste of my time which is not going to solve anything. Seriously, the only thing you guys are going to obtain is a massive waste of everybody's playtime for no reason at all.

What? We shouldn't all have our hard work undone and sense of distance and scale of the galaxy be undone just because Droogie has an important nap scheduled at 5:35? That's not fair to Droogie. Look at those dark circles. Dude obviously needs his beauty sleep.

Slippery slope? Losing side? You realize that 78% of players are asking that the ship transfer require some transit time? And that request is based on realism?

Hopefully Frontier is having an easier time adding up the numbers in the convoluted poll. Should have just been a simple metric. Should transfer be instantaneous? Yes/No.

Oh, trust me, I'll be quite happy to be wrong about that:)

They get it folks, the decision was made - SERIOUSLY, why are you all still arguing about this????

PSA - I'm gonna keep spamming this quote until this thread DIES.
So?
Does that stop us from giving feedback? we are not hurting them , hell we are not insulting them. I respect FD , and if FD tell me post feedback and post beta feedback that its going to stay this way , then I will role with it.
However , elite will be less deep if it stays the way it currently going to be.

Depth is important.

I am all for it , but it needs tweaks (in my opinion)

Its important to note , that was said on live-stream before any feedback.
FD want our feedback , it helps them.

And its possible FD did not think about the powerplay ballance meta , or multi-role ballance. they are only human.
Its nothing personal , its just feedback

No no it isn't "equally available". Nearly every Imperial ship can be buffed to a tolerable +30 LY jump range. That's not evenly distributed.

FDL pilots like myself sure as hell don't think that transfer tax is evenly distributed.

And I what if I hate flying Asps and Anacondas? What then? This "intended" exploit just forces into buying and flying ships I don't want to own just so I can play with my friends without slowing them down? That frankly sucks.

You choosing the slow way to travel is on you. If you take your fdl, you're going to get there far later anyway if they take a faster ship. They'd be waiting on you. Even if there was a delay, you'd still get there after them, and they'd still get the ship delivered before you. Either way, they're waiting.

Instant Transport no-one wants Instant Transport , ships people following quantum entanglement laws , IS STUPID

Transport should be on based on LY years , and the physics of spacetime for objects of MASS !! ,

Because its a new expansion zone , the idea in lore was it was going to be a hard push.
Trading , mining and fighting in exploration ships until he could get a shipyard up and running...emergent gameplay.

But now , due to this all systems will mostly have the same player ships , no more FSD meta , no more powerplay ship selection.
For example I have 3 combat ships , now I will only need one. for my long range fighter is more than pointless

In providing an argument of why I don't want to wait 2 days to get my ship. If you want that sense of distance and scale, you're free to make the trip yourself.

Personal attacks are uncalled for.

Yes that is the difference between concept and practical implementation. Just because the practical implementation cannot simulate the concept 100% is no reason to abandon the core effects of the concept.

Of course, FD can make some bells and whistles about the cosmetic face of "ship transfer", but the result will be the same.
If I can blindly judge from the quoted live stream sentences, I am almost sure that the real reason for the instant ship transfer implementation is the necessity of STATELESS solution for what ever reason (time, money, server infrastructure etc.). And with any stateless solution, you must exclude the real time as a factor in implementation.

Either way you're dismissing nearly 80% of the votes as being exaggerated. We could easily dismiss your 20% as being "lazy". But instead we are presenting logical arguments and alternatives. And what are you presenting? "I cheated fair and square. And I want it right naaooo!!". Sorry not compelled.

This, can those who are screaming about the death of realism please pay attention.

The solution is being presented as "Stateless", this means that time cannot play a part in it, so the whole "Make people wait" -can't- happen anyways.

Yeah, you are right, but you didn't answer my question. I'll do it again: How is, a 19 hours delay, going to solve this issue?
Because at this point we have a 78% of people asking for a time sink which is not going to solve the situation you are explaining.

I'm presenting "Hey, that's a pretty cool feature upcoming, I like it as it stands". Not sure how that's cheating, but still.
