I'm sure it'd be nice to declare victory now, but you kind of have to release two games first. Makes your sneering at the competition a little more effective when you're actually competing instead of pitting dreams and choreographed stage demos vs. reality.
Stock market traders have a motto. Buy on the Timor, sell on the news.
I've adopted that strategy in my trading and it's where I have made the most money.
SC comparing itself to NMS and ED is that practice in motion. People create their own set of possibilities and those always outshine what is possible in the end.
the presentation was nice especially after backing out of E3, but in no way did it give me more confidence in the project.
To be fair nothing eD showed really tickled my fancy either but I also don't hedge hype on presentations. I use it as an avenue to see what is coming not to fuel hype.
i put a thousand dollars into SC"dream between 2012-2014...AC dropped and couldn't stand the space combat. Sold a few ships on grey market:
Nov 2014 and nowhere near game..:sold a few more.
CR escapist article response sold the rest except a base aurora package.
I bought on rumour and sold on the "news"....made money doing it but I really just wanted to play the game that was advertised back in 2012.
I simply can't subscribe to what they showed at this presentation was the be all end all to silence the SC critics. Those calling it a scam shouldn't be commented on because it's not...it is an avenue for CR and Sandi to be paid really good wages and do their dream jobs...but that's entrepreneurial skills and not a scam.
