My SOTHIS report - Updated every hour (or not)

Why is everyone getting mad? They're going to do this once or twice realise it's simply not worth the time and effort then give up.

Woooow so we just fly to a new station and get the missions there? Not hard at all. How long it's taken them with the tiny impact it has it's just not worth it and even the simplest of minds will not find enjoyment from doing this another 2 or 3 times.
I think that they should be made to do all of them. One at a time, alphabetically, made to do it. They started it, let them do it properly, think they are bored now; if forced to do it, they would quit in a week.

I'm not getting mad. I'm laughing at them, doing exactly what they don't want me to do and then giving away the credits to newbies.
Because I can, and because they can't stop me. And that brings me joy.

But but you are ruining the game by giving people ships that they didn't earn the 'right' way!

Please do not ask me what the "right" way is, it was never clearly explained. Maybe it was doing rare goods trade routes, mining, or stacking bounty hutning missions till your eyes bleed - unsure which makes you a "true commander".

By definition, this is a hard game, everyone deserves a little hand out, or up, every now and then.

We all play our own ways: Isn't that great?

Sothis/Ceos was most important of them all, i don't remember any other place in which you can do multi-million missions in 1 jump. Of course, there are other places but gettin x million from one Sothis to Ceos mission in one jump was priceless.
.

Anywhere in the bubble where you are allied with every faction, you can find numerous Million/2million plus missions delivery cargo one jump away to the same station.
Same for Salvage missions, during a war, the collect military intelligence can be 2 million plus a pop for 4 units of cargo.
Every stop in can see 2 or 3 of them, which are renewed by the time you get back with the salvage

In effect anywhere in civilized space, where you are allied and the state is favourable then you can easily make millions in short time frames

Just dropped off 150 MA at Ceos. Picked up 38mil in LR missions at Sothis. I haven't done a Sothis/Ceos run in a long time. Thanks for giving me the motivation, UA-bombers.

That's great. Did you get those MAs from barnacles or did you buy them?

Just stop it with the bubble rim station bombings... This is RIDICULUS. Of course we are going to make millions of dangerous long route flights, its part of the game.

Now you forced me to go to the next station on the rim for missions...

Do you actually make money on selling MA to the station?

I've been busy farming imperial faction, but if I can suddenly start making money going both ways during Sothis/Ceos runs....

Depends on where you obtained your MA. While Sothis remains fully functional, you can recoup any loss by picking up some long-range missions or smuggling/courier missions to Ceos.

Had a little more time today and managed to drop off 273 more MA at Ceos. I wish I paid more attention last night to the station state. It's currently in 'investment' state. I don't know what that means. It also has a pending state of 'boom'. I'm not sure if this is meaningful with a ua-bombed station. Can anyone explain?

I headed out there last night to see what the fuss is all about. Ceos is down, that is true, Sothis is still up and running and handing out missions. What I don't get is why people are getting so irate about the missions. WAIT - hear me out.I refreshed the mission board a few times to see what it is all about, yes, there were 4 Million Credit poop hauling missions...... 24 Tons to a system 425LY away. Why is this a Problem? In other Stations dotted around the place I have seen 800K - 1000000 Missions for Systems 100 - 120LY away. Can someone explain the Issue here to me?Had I seen a Mission to haul 2 Tons of poop to a System 10Ly away for 10 Million ok, but this actually seems ok (disregarding the fact that it is poop that needs to be hauled.......

There is no problem. Some people just use this as a creative excuse for UA bombing the stations, while it's obvious (and perfectly OK) that they're doing it for fun and to try and get noticed. Specially this pathetic guy, don't remember the name but it had a number in it. He kept bumping aaaaaaaaaaaaaall the threads with "Sothis" or "Ceos", for hours, claiming to be responsible for the bombing while at the same time admitting he made a fortune with these missions and all that crap.

I ignored him using the control panel and the forum is now clean and much less boring.

No one has spoken out? Really?

Got to give credit for a group of people willing to organize and take DIRECT ACTION to exploit a game mechanic. To coin a phrase: "It's in the game" for better or for worse. Listen, if this activity rattles the community's "what-is-right-and-wrong-in-ED" sensibilities then quit crying into your beer and DO something. Find these pilots, gang up and destroy them a couple of thousand times. Some of these accounts have billions of credits, they won't care about losing ships until they run out of them. It isn't as if they're being secretive about their whereabouts and there aren't thousands of them, it is community APATHY and an inability or unwillingness to ORGANIZE and DIRECTLY ACT (kudos to those small groups that do take action) which is leading to stations being successfully UA bombed. Blow them up and sell their cargoes/artifacts to the engineers or whoever wants them these days. Lookee! I just invented a new game mechanic: Elite Dangerous-noir! Fly the lonely space trails of the galaxy dispensing your own brand of Justice! "Manco" in a space-ship! "For a Few Dollars More" - In Space!

52 million credit run last night from Sothis in Open. Figured I'd taker the 'Cutter out of storage, wander around the system waiting to be interdicted by the blockaders, maybe 'combat log' just to yank a few chains.
.
Oh well, made some credits at least.

Now that Arque is over, I am ready to jump in my Cutter and help out.

I'll admit that I havent had the time to read every page of this post. Where are people getting their MAs from?

Maia has the only place that sells them, on one of the planets.
