I asked before but it looks like you missed it, as you've subsequently posted on this thread without responding, so the following question stands:

What is it on Galnet that makes you think it's the 27th?

I get scanned sucessfully once every couple of hours, despite handing in 20 missions at a time with the local factions im carrying several million in fines which im paying off as I get them and the fed factions have gone from naturally freindly as my fed rank is top tier to unfriendly/hating me.

My overall Fed standing is creeping down too......maybe the ups aren't anything to do with the Feds given how hard this is hitting me, they seem to hate/fear them

Sort of supports the hypothesis that they're Thargoid!

No, I was to busy boosting away whilst checking subtargets - I was definitely outmatched. Also, having a group tag after the commander name - I always assume there is also backup available.

Besides, if he was asking for help, interdiction is surely not the way anyone would go.

The thing is Elite cannot afford to only ever have events in space. Eventually the story must go planetside and those players without Horizons will have to accept that they are not part of that content. You can't smother the story for some just because others will miss out. We want our planetside stories too lol

As this thread has proven - and activities by other player groups (such as HoT and others) - non-horizons players are always involved in some way.

I agree. It's funny how things line up at 10:00 tomorrow on the star chart though. Not at 09:00 or 22:00 which are some of the other times suggested.

I dunno - Patau82 was interdicted by a new player once just because they recognised his player name and wanted to say 'Hi!'. I think Pat was Deadly or Dangerous and in an armed-to-the-teeth Python at the time - so the fanboy was lucky.

There's all manner of strange behaviour out there!

Oh definitely in some way. But waiting for this bounty hunter is in 'Some way'. I don't think that precludes the final destination of the mystery being planetside.

Yeah, I don't think it will have anything to do with Horizons/planetside as that would effectively lock out a bunch of players from participating until the end. So far nearly all of this (barnacles aside) has been done in space, and I'm inclined to think that that is how the rest of the hunt will continue.

What does the date say for you on the station services screen when you're docked? I'm guessing for the next 1hr40mins it still says 27th. So unless you're suggesting that the times revealed by decoding the clues are local to each commander, then I'd suggest that the date mentioned is also universal time.
