What backlash? SQ42 has always been intended for a 2017 release - nothing else makes any sense![]()
Damn! My sarcasm meter must be on the blink! - I nearly replied differently

No - stellar forge resides on the client and the server, but is generated at runtime, with some manual overrides for things like real star systems, or exoplanets. Most of the server data is for the political, economic and exploration data.

I don't understand why there aren't any posts about the SQ42 delay over at RSI/CIG. If David braben announced that a season of ED was going to be delayed by a year or more I'm certain there'd be a thread or two here.

So in other words, if you guys won't correct the glaring inaccuracies of Zeta² Reticuli, it should be possible to hack in, client side?No - stellar forge resides on the client and the server, but is generated at runtime, with some manual overrides for things like real star systems, or exoplanets. One guy, joined the forums a year ago, 18 posts in total. Posts a thread giving his opinion that SC Devs are listening to FDev player complaints and building their game to eliminate them.
The few replies were either "you are a bit paranoid", or "Shame the wrong set of Devs are listening".
I think you need to re-calibrate your hate-dar...
