I see the game is still a Joke....

You're missing the point. The constant interdiction aren't hard, they're annoying/not fun. Getting interdicted over and over and over and over and over and over while trying to travel a few hundred light seconds, regardless of whether or not you kill the NPC is not good game design.

exacly this...

its the same as reading a good book...your engrossed and in the zone......all of a sudden my youngest son keep tapping me going "dad.....dad"...for some reason......then he does it again 5 mins later...then again......

he will learn as he grows that this is a annoying habbit......

why cant they implement more simple "mission halting events"?....like a mechanical breakdown out of the blue.....and we have to reboot ect.......there must be more things they can do with the already basic engine of game mechanics we have?

To be interdicted all the time is a cheap easily implemented mechanic.......they should tone it down a bit.

It's a game. You have to play by the rules. Once a mission-generated NPC interdicts you, he will keep interdicting you until, you arrive at the station, kill him or jump to another system. You have the choice of how to deal with him. What's the problem? If you simply escape to supercruise, you can expect to be interdicted again within 40 seconds, but that's your choice.

If they aren't hard then why complain about it in the first place? The aspect to which you refer as "not good game design" is in fact a lack of understanding game play mechanics.

I have a simple delivery mission but for some reason the game thought it would be a good idea to spawn a Fer de lance with master skill level to take me out on my final jump;

And that warrants the thread title? Bit of an over-reaction I'd have thought.

Breath taking...

I'll say it again. Getting interdicted, killing the NPC returning to Supercruise only to be immediately interdicted by the same NPC again (repeat half a dozen times), is not fun. It has nothing to do with difficulty.

that is a bit cheaty IMO, if you choose to run a shieldless T7, that is a choice you made that can bite you in the a##, and instead of taking the repercussions of your actions on the chin.. you choose to exploit & log..... Please don't encourage this kind of behaviour

Yeah, how you play the game is, of course, your business but that solution is straight from gutless gully. :)

This never happened to me. The same NPC that you killed?

This certainly must be a bug that should be reported.

How can anyone say getting interdicted repeatedly by some NPC that you KILLED can be fun?

Maths dictates that two wrongs make a right.

Wrong = odd number
Right = even number

2+2=4 (result even number) right plus right = even = Right

2+1=3 (result odd number) right plus wrong = odd = Wrong

1+1=2 (result even number) wrong+wrong = even = Right.

Therefore...

Computer cheating (WRONG) + Player combat logging (WRONG) = RIGHT!

Now, regular combat logging vs player:

Player interdicts player = RIGHT. Player 2 combat logs = WRONG - Right plus wrong = WRONG

Simple maths.

If something is broken, use a broken mechanic to mitigate the effect.

Wrong is not an odd number, it's an irrational number.:p

So another person min/max's a trade ship and then complains that it can't stand up to running from pirates. Here's a tip, if you're going to have crappy shields for more cargo space while running missions, try picking up some sacrificial cargo you can give to the pirates instead of your mission cargo. If you don't get pulled, then great you made some money. If you do, then at least you didn't have to get shot up.

:NOTE: I haven't tested this with missions because I never do missions in ships that can't kill my pursuers. it's possible that they are only assuaged by the mission cargo in which case I guess you'd better reoutfit that ship.
