***POLL NOW CLOSED*** IMPORTANT, OFFICIAL SHIP TRANSFER POLL

Actually my insta-trading argument is flawed. It makes little difference which method is used, if they don't make the cost prohibitive or limit the number of times per day it can be done, You could still transfer a fully laiden t9 back and forth and trade large volumes without ever actually flying a T9. I hope they factor this in.
You couldnt do this anyways because dont you need to have the same cargo capacity in the ship you are switching to to be able to keep the cargo? You cant leave a ship full of goods in a port as far as im aware. You couldnt fully load your T9 and then jump into your AspX and be able to keep the cargo in your T9.

You know, it seems kind of funny that most of the people arguing for instant here are Diamond Frogs...

What I've noticed (it seems to me) is that a lot of the people in favour of a delay are passionate about the game, whereas a fair few of the people in favour of instant seem to be highly dissatisfied with the game.

Sorry, i rephrased it, to be less offensive and more factfull, but sentiment stands.
I do not think showing results is undue influence in this type of voting.

Perhaps Frontier chose to rather err on the side of caution.. just in case. :)

Less offensive? You went from rather mild to aggressive. :D

And they most likely seems not "getting it" anyway.

You cannot store (and thus transfer) a ship with cargo, all cargo has to go into the ship you are flying yourself. Storage will be module only in 2.2, no commodities.

A good question is, who will buy future expensions ? All borred guys wanting instant All, or fans liking ED concept and actively playing it ? Turn ED to arcade, and you'll lose passionate players wanting playing this game for years... But it's true you'll gain some casuals players, but how many time they'll stay in ED before switching for the next AAA game ?

Im sorry, maybe i missed it. I watched all the live streams and have read quite a few post on it and still dont recall anyone from FDEV ever stating we could initiate the xfer from "anywhere to anywhere"

PLEASE point me to where this was said if im wrong! Like i said, if thats the case im NOT opposed to it.

Here you are:

Hello Commander Marrs!

Personally I quite like it, but it's outside of the current remit for 2.2.

*If* we end up with timed deliveries, it sounds like the kind of thing we could consider in the future (no ETA no guarantees! :)).

Not to sound pedantic or anything, but this poll should be advertised on the launcher. The amount of players who frequent the forums is a tiny percentage of overall players. This is a big change and therefore should be made clearly visible for people to submit their votes.

If quality of life upgrades make you quit a game, you probably were not much of a fan of the GAME, just whatever internet reputation you can squeeze out of it.

They probably mean well, but it is just as common to tuck this kind of change "option" where the usual suspects can repeat how much they hate it.

Subnautica for example had obtuse crafting timers added to the game based on the usual suspects, and it was such a drastically unfun change (in a game with very limited crafting options anyways) that it took a flood of people dusting off official forums accounts, and creating official forums accounts (Because other sources of input meant **** all) to get across that three+ minutes to make a progression item. in a singleplayer game while you twiddled your thumbs in your base because you needed X item to progress, didn't add anything but padding.

The people in favor of long crafting timers meanwhile, compared those disliking it to the mentally and physically handicapped, and the popular response that wasn't just insults was "Just go do something else while you are waiting 90 seconds for bottled water".

Then again, those people were also sad they removed the short lived "if you don't manually pick up some items (but not all of them), it will destroy the item if you try to fabricate another one first."

It is not a QoL upgrade though. It is very important gameplay element which have an impact to other parts of the game. Read OP.

I play almost everyday, I want instant, I'm not a diamond frog. I think instant is the best option. I want to enjoy the trading, mining, mission running, exploration. I do not find the 2 minute per jump loading screen just to collect a ship that is 200 ly away and then have to travel 200 lys to the CG or whatever. it is not arcady to have instant. People log in to enjoy the game. If you don't want instant go fetch it they are not taking that option out the game or use the transfer and set a phone timer for your immersion.

I believe they plan to do exactly that. It's stated somewhere in here.

You can't understand ED is even with the solo part , a multiplayer game, and not using this feature if it exist, make you less effective than others...
