Do more things simultaneously? Possibly.

Of course, the downside to that is that they have to do so many of them again, and again, and again, and again, and again........

I hope you'll cite him again once backers run out of patience, money runs dry and lawyers kick in.

It's a common mistake here to assume that only the things that are in the Live playable build exist.

I didnt say that, but I guess at this point you've got little left but strawmen arguments. At least Orlando here is fun, he can read what others type and respond to those words with other words. Its common around here to call that 'a discussion'. You're just copy&pasting your prefab SC propaganda without bothering to connect it with the issue at hand. Here, the issue is that you claim there is very little in the game 'because CR has such high standards'. That is totally at odds with the horrific crap he releases, and you have no argument or defense other than "they have invisible stuff thats probably awesome". Thats not the point and you are just pulling that from your rear.

You're basing everything on hope and belief. There is amazing stuff which we havent seen yet! There is hardly any progress but at any time now progress can come pouring in! You're entitled to your religion, but at this point you're just screaming from the rooftops your savior has come, he'll do awesome stuff, you cant back any of it up with anything whatsoever but if anyone disagrees with you its 'because they dont know stuff about other stuff, or some stuff like that'. :)

90 days wasn't it?

Stop being so sniffy and actually answer a question *honestly*.

Also, care to reply to the recent translation of the LEVEL article? Or to the fact that CIG are in the midst of some possible run-ins with the authorities?

How about the fact Squadron 42, according to Roberts himself, won't be seen as a playable product till at *least* mid to late 2017?

It could not be in other way, crowdfunding was the only way to get Squadron42/Star Citizen rolling. The increase of money allowed for an increase of scope and the delivery of more and higher quality amount of features faster. Instead of iterating slowly they decided (wisely) to make the ground works for future benefit of the game and it's players. The amount of money actually allowed them to do more things at the same time and with a higher degree of fidelity.

This is just a sample of pure fidelitous trolling now :)

Online targeted harassment is a serious matter.
Basically if someone uncovered your history as a tickle actress, the only thing you can do is cry wolf and hide for a few weeks.

Aye......same goes if someone uncovered that you are actualy the boss wife.........

It's pretty embarrassing stuff, I don't blame her for disengaging for a bit. A struggling actress can often end up doing things like that when answering dodgy casting notices to help pay the bills, but man -- the internet's long memory can be a bit mortifying. I'm just grateful that googling my name and digging deep only reveals shameful posts to Usenet in the early 90s about cheat codes!

I suspect her plea for support would've had more resonance and some media coverage if at any point in her entire career she expressed an interest or helped causes and organizations that promoted women in game development, or people that aren't herself in general. Also if the tickling stuff wasn't involved, probably.

Back to Star Citizen! Tho it's obvious these things will get personal quite often considering how personal Chris Roberts has made Star Citizen. From the first moment it's all about him, his family, the drama, the vision. But the tickles are besides the point! Let's argue about the flight model again.

Hands up everyone who thinks they're building a solid technical foundation rather than working on shopping, scripted demos and ship sales

EDIT 2: Star Citizen does not have a USP (unique selling point) for me. There are other games that do various parts of what SC aims to achieve but in a more focussed way. I don't necessarily want a game that does everything. I'd rather play 3 games that do their speciality brilliantly than something that tries to do everything (and because of this lack of focus will more than likely have inferior elements).

That is actually a very good point. They have no USP. They are USP less.

But - JM has pointed out the following;

Maybe that's the USP - pushing envelopes - it's an homage to Costner's The Postman!

Star Citizen: Pushing envelopes!

I think they probably are but they have to keeping redoing it and redoing it and redoing it because of refactoring and it's still not right so they'll have to redo it.

I have a question.

Which is the better spelling? Fidelitous or fidelitious?

The former is fi-DEL-ittus, which I like because it sounds wannabe-sophisticated while ultimately just being cretinous, while the latter is fidel-ISH-us, which sounds ham-and-cheesy. What do you guys think?

Personally I'd go with

Fidelititious.

Fid-el-i-e-chus

Lol - it won't let me type "e" without the te at the end

:D
