No, i'm arguing that the reason they don't say they have VR support MIGHT be because the userbase is small and people tend to whine about everything and anything.
Hell, people whine about developers rushing games development, but then the next day the same people whine about developers NOT rushing games development.
But let me quote myself once more, because it looks like some users here have a very volatile memory:

Repeat yourself as much as you like, you are absolutely wrong on every account.

Please watch that 2015 video where CR explicitly states that they are working on VR integration.

They have the finest Magic Germans working on it :D

...but your quote is incorrect..?

Yet CR states in that video you just posted more or less the same as i said: That VR is on the list, but has less priority than other stuff because (among other reasons) the VR userbase is small.
So in this case, you are wrong.

Well, he won't be the first or last guy to lie about VR support for a Kickstarter without understanding the subject during these trendy Vee Arr days. Thankfully more reputable companies are giving it a stab and the industry is coming along nicely without him...

Still, a shame to miss the boat. Space sims and VR go together like... space sims and VR.

It was a stretch goal. It was to get more money for the project. He is stating it after he already put it out there to get more money. His priorities are also just for money - that's why his terrible demos are built for conventions so they can get more enthusiasm for more money. Which, by the way, if he can't built what he set out with $123 million and needs more, its complete mismanagement, misappropriation of funds, and complete and utter incompetence.

No, VR is one of the core features - just like PG - since they were stretch goals. People very explicitly put money into it. He can say "its not as important" but the doink made people pay for it PLUS it isn't something that can be shoehorned later like an Idris.

Of course there is EVE : Valkyrie and I really wish VR was a generation or two ahead because I'd toss down money for one and for the game because it looks pretty cool and I bet it is going to steal any hope SC had for any VR edge. Actually, every game is stealing SC's imagined edge on anything, it doesn't even have fidelity or immersion (same repeat missions, same crap, the only difference is how many players grief you before you leave the launch/landing pad or if your ship will even be upright when you get to it)

CR: If you give me one million extra, I'll add VR in the 2014 release
*Community gives money*
CR: Haha, VR is no big deal right, but if you give me more money, you'll get a 100 systems in the 2014 release!
*Community gives money*
CR: Haha, got you twice!
Community: This is stupid...
Hi-Ban: You dont understand game development!

Best appraisal of situation ever.

You know all you say here is based on assumptions with no real proof, right? He already stated that it's on the list and the cryengine guys at Germany will work on it. What else do you want?
Oh, looks like i was correct. So you want your favourite feature/ship/whatever to be number 1 on the priority list because, according to you, it is more important than whatever other stuff which is very important for another player.
For me one of the most important points is that the plasma wave effect on the atmospherical reentry must be accurate as in real life. Because going into a planet is a stretch goal. And that's essential. Lets put my desire as number 1 on the priority list of the 200-300 features of this game. Because why not?

Jokes aside, chill down dude. VR is definitely gonna be done, the guy said that in the video. What else do you want?

So VR support isn't already in the game.

But it is gonna be done. Isn't that good?
I don't really understand this. People complain because they think VR is not gonna be done. Then we find out VR is in fact gonna be done. Yet they still complain because it is gonna be done. What the...? My head...

Do you still have hair on your head? The point went over so fast I'd be surprised if you still had a scalp.

Stop with the "chill dude" no one here is phreaking out. We're all pointing out how absurd your responses are.

I only post assumptions? You've got that one backwards. Everything I've posted is fact based with evidence that backs it up. All you post is assumptions like "it is going to happen" "its promised in the works" etc. Nothing BUT assumptions and insinuations from you.

Not without any evidence to support that notion, no. Five years into development, and a feature that needs to be a core design consideration of everything that goes into the game pretty much from day one is still being pushed into the future. That is not a good sign — it suggests that the man is flat out lying about its prospects.

It's just like everything else in SC. This, that, the next shiny new thing, whatever - it's going to be done at some point. Eventually. Maybe. If it belongs in the "vision". If there's enough funding.

Buy an Idris!

When people were complaining about lack of VR support, you contradicted them. You, like Orlando, whom I'm sure you don't know, shift your story at the slightest sign that you're wrong.

Ok so then let me understand it. Then, the problem is that the features are not implemented instantly, right? Your complaint is that development takes time and it should be instantaneous, am i right?

No-one has suggested anything of the kind, so no, you're not. You've gone right back to putting words in people's mouths again.
