Some choice quotes from the obviously planned years in advance so as to try and wreck Star Citizen's chances Kotaku article....
Once, a source says, Chris came to work after playing The Order: 1886. Impressed by the highly detailed art, he asked CIG’s character artists to match that standard.
The second example I was given was from a time when Roberts came back from seeing another in-development CryEngine game, Kingdom Come: Deliverance. He had been deeply impressed by the character inventory and outfits system, which involved multiple layers of clothing where each item has different properties, from its material to its weight and shape, that affect how it animates. Chris wanted it for Star Citizen.
Hmm, didn't that insider source over at SA mention Chris Roberts micro-managing ways to a ludicrous degree, like describing to artists how to render a jacket for ages or some such....
Not looking untrue then I see.

Got any proof of this? CIG have been doing a lot of behind the scenes engine work, how do you know for sure they haven't done anything related to VR?
Maybe you got an insider source at CIG? If you do, then i'll have to shut my mouth...
You do realise one of the guys that CIG hired for implementation of VR left earlier this year? Like, a MAIN guy. A director who has worked in VR for many years. Not some low level intern. A main guy.
You do realise, with their *own words* that CIG have pretty much painted themselves into a corner regarding VR implementation.... And anyway, if VR WAS to be a "thing" in Star Citizen, don't you think they'd be profiling it and talking about it
openly to the world on an AtV or 10ftC slot?
