yeah all over. textures were lovely. damn really, i was hoping for more - i was all ready with some pithy comments comparing the acting to Space Trucker Bruce's weird cardboard-shipped shenanigans too :( but it genuinely would have been nice to see something actually coming. It still feels over a year away

the viewer numbers collapsed 10k towards the end, i'm off to look at reddit then bed i think....

So I got distracted and only remembered to watch at the point when the "live" planet pull-out demo spontaneously looped, followed by an extended CryEngine editor demo, and the announcement of the next CitizenCon (which I take to mean that nothing of value will be released before that, and from what I can tell Roberts announced that 4.0 is a year away). And having caught up with this forum it looks like I missed.... nothing at all. Did they really not show anything of S42, or 3.0, or anything to do with the game at all? I had low expectations but... damn. If that's the best they could come up with for their very own conference, wow.

Well I'm off to bed Goodnight guys! Until wednesday-friday when I get the new (and probably one that works correctly)motherboard!

That planetary stuff was awesome. And they even showed the in-editor stuff, you know, for the people who say it's fake...

Good for you, i wasnt impressed at all...probably just me oversceptical i guess? But for SQ42 release 2016 they didnt show anything, for 2.6 to be released they didnt show anything...for 3.0 to bereleased this year they didnt show anything. I dont have much hope to be honest.

I have to say good job to the artists at CIG they have some talented people on the team, but these staged tech demonstrations by Chris leave me cold. The part where all the tiles flew off the top of the wrecked ship due to the sand storm, does that happen for all 1000 players in that instance? Do the tiles remain blown off or do they respawn? Staged stuff like this bugs the crap out of me.

Haha, in this thread no one gets impressed by an entire planet with an awesome level of detail, but some weeks ago they got absolutely hyped for getting a "geyser" on ED.
That is laughable, extreme double standards.

Not only that...CR said that this demo was their to show of their "handmade procedual missions"...how is that even procedual...does the mission spawn just their...What would have happend if you didnt go through that canyon and getting ambushed by those tuskan raiders.

Does the taking of the dragonfly imply you can just steal stuff from missions and use it? Why even buy then? What happens to your rover...
What about the sandstorm will it always come as part of the mission and destroy the ramp he took to get into the wreckage...or was is dynamical....
The sandworm is it part of the enviorment at it was just nearby to mess with stuff or was it also part of that "procedual handmade mission"...this demo doesnt show anything that is worth a penny for gameplay.

Its hard to impress ED players with impressive entire planets with details. Seriously we are able to play on those even if they are barren rocks. Unlike SC and his planets.

The reason players got hyped for them is, they were promised, they got delivered, and more stuff to find on barren planets.
