I looked at Derek's twitter feed earlier and he mentioned Sandi crying for which he got a "stop stalking her you pervert" reply. These people.

CitizenCon 2017: Buy tickets in advance, they will be double the cost - $90 a ticket, put down additional "holding fees" to reserve the convention space - because they are pretty much out of money, pre-purchase meal and drink plan as they will only order enough to cover that so there is no surplus as it is beyond budget, and the convention will be held in a used car lot - bring your own chairs, sunscreen and/or pop up cover. Oh, and if you want to SEE the game bring your own PC as development for SC has been reduced to drawing things in MSPaint.

The funny thing is, if you look at the account that made the reply (SC_LOGICORP), over 90% of the tweets are about "documenting" every little thing Derek does. But that's TOTALLY different from stalking and obsessive behavior.

They're obsessive because they're insecure about it, like hard-core religious people. Of course there is no way Derek has anything to do with the state of the (what would you call it) erm multi studioed rudderless titanic disaster ship.

Lot of SC fanbase have gone full denial of what's happening. I am sorry to see those guys like that. But they can't be helped. They have are too deep and they will have to figure it out themselves. It seems there's almost religious belief that SC Alpha 3.0 is coming at the end of the year. No facts or anything, just strong belief. Poor sods. We will see soon enough.

There is one important thing to take away from yesterday's utter *shambles* of a presentation...

CIG probably *knew* that they had virtually nothing to show at CitCon because the perma-crunch time devs just couldn't deliver the impossible: a working level for Squadron 42 because the mo-cap footage being used is a complete wreck that cannot, and will not, come together into a manageable state.

Hence the Polaris sale just before CitCon to boost that money counter.... They *knew* that they would take a massive hit to their money reserves because there would be no "post Con sale surge" to count on with that eye-wateringly bad showcase.

Having some of SC fan base being obsessive over detractors and critics is nothing new really - anyone criticizing them have to be sure their online accounts will be searched, and made display of. Post only stuff you aren't ashamed of :) It is basic mob tactic - attack messenger. Primitive and first sign of cult.

I mean that thing with Derek stalking her was just pathetic. It's interesting that she wears kind of skimpy stuff to appeal to the fanbase at the conventions. I have been around the block a few times sadly and I can tell you that she wouldn't have anything to do with the SC supporters gladly, probably calls them the US equivalent of , he he.

I just also love fact that their slides about Squadron 42 clearly states there's no space combat ready for the game. If Squadron 42 is released in 2017, it simply won't have them. It will be mostly walking (Space Marine most likely) and cut scenes...lots of cut scenes.

Must be sickening for the backers who have invested more than they can really afford. They are the ones I feel sorry for. Deep down they probably know they have made a mistake, but they won't get any sympathy from the majority of happy clappers on their forums.

Can I ask politely, humbly, nay immersionally, can everyone just please stop typing so I can catch up? As an early non backer who's' fave space sci game sim's forum of destiny has been touched by the fidelity of one, I simply can't keep up. I'm on like about 20 or so pages back..
