From which studio(s)?The Agent on the SA forums says employees have been told they are moving to Brno (correct spelling) in the Czech Republic. They are not happy.

I am not sure are the devs(Warhorse) that making Kingdom Come had some of their offices in Brno, tho I am sure that they are somewhere in Czech Republic.....anyway they making their game in CE so who knows maybe they can educate CIG experts a bit......
Warhorse are in Prague - just checked - you read my mind
If that's true, it is surely CIG moving to Brno, not the employees? What studio can just tell their employees they have to move to another nation? I mean, even if they gave the option to them, I doubt many would just take it, unless their personal bonds are more to the project and work than family etc..
They can't. Unless this is a move to shed employees without looking like they're shedding employees. "Guys! We're moving to Siberia! Oh, all of you can't make it? Then I guess I'll have to reluctantly drop you from the books. Good luck with your next job!"
Well, CIG moving jobs to Czech was predicted by both TheAgent and other informator. Apparently they have to start to worry about costs. It is not bad cost making move, Central Europeans certainly know how to do games. However if they will want to move their current devs - most likely it's not gonna happen. They will have mostly to rehire.
Oh, it certainly isn't. But it reeks of desperation if you're culling (IF that is the case!) your previous studio(s) for it. 125$ Mio. and five years into the project (I should really try to get a makro for that phrase somewhere...), when they were almost nearly ready to finally show of the fabled space opera Squadron 42 to blow the gaming world out of their socks (which didn't manifest in a single solid showing since 2012 btw.), you replace employees, rather than moving through with the ones you have to the finish line?
If this was, say, additional workforce to churn out assets fast and furious and production was just now ramping up to maximum, I'd find such news a lot less worrying.
"wow, majority of that crowdfunding money is gone. LOL!"

At this point it is huge warning sign, for sure.
If they did this move 2 years ago I would say "Wow, that Roberts guy actually know stuff about costs and stuff". At this point I say: "wow, majority of that crowdfunding money is gone. LOL!"

Cheapest comparing to US? Highly likely. Cheaper comparing to Eastern/Central Europeans? Nope. Those are two very different PG planets right there.Especially if they're paying wages in Pounds Sterling (which, if CIG accounts in dollars, makes UK devs the cheapest on the planet right now?)
They are certainly seem to be *forced* to minimize bleeding of resources. For some projects it might be actually be a blessing. For SC and SQ42...I don't see how.Hmmm...+maybe he need to cut expenses to get that 50 mil.$ loan??
Ha ha. Imagine sitting in the pilot seat, look to your left and right, only to see your co-pilot and navigator are the Chuckle Brothers. (Look them up non UK people)
What will be the believer's take on this? Haven't we been told so often, that building up CIG took oh-so much time and the five years of production by Roberts account are therefore to be taken a bit more lightly? Hey, that had to build up 3 (?) studios first! Took them so long and now they're building a new one or downright replacing an existing one? What would a capable doublethinker make of this?
