im gonna rest here on sedna and come up with something for my "third" probe theory maybe there is something i overlooked its so peaceful here anyways

ahhh ok ill drop it now...forgive my excitement.....thought i was onto something.

thanks for the wiki links fellas.......man in the moon theory eh?

seeing what i want to see?....i do smoke a awfull lot of onionhead ha ha

On the contrary, we do not like peeking into game files.... for now at least :D :D :D

Hence my confusion. I'm aware of data mining being frowned upon around here, and rightfully so, i am just a bit confused as to where to draw the line - and if i missed a clue pointing towards Sol, that's why i'm bringing it up. Apparently i didn't, and that's that. No intention of clogging up this thread even further, happy hunting CMDR's

A quick comment on the trailers I would say it is likely we are dealing with at least 2 different sets of alien structures, possibly 3.

We have the first set at 0:23 that was shown at elite meet, and from the footage from elite meet showing barnards loop and my own investigations is probably near the Col 173 sector.

We then have the set at 0:26 which may or may not be the same as the ones at 0:23 and are orbitting a ringed brown dwarf with a yellow looking star in system.

We then have the beacon at the end 1:25 which looking at the location of the pleiades and andromeda is probably located somewhere around the Hyades or Col 285 sector on a binary planet or moon in close orbit to its parent body

The only way they can be the same structures is if what we think is the pleiades is actually the witchhead nebula in which case we are looking for a ringed brown dwarf orbitting a K/G/F class star

EDIT Made mistake not B class as nxt image was bleeding through where I paused video

Sorry but I do not agree.

- It's always been like that: the trailer has alway been in-game content/part of the gamer itself.
- we are focusing on the Pleiades/Merope, exactly where we should based on what we discovered in game.
- we are focusing on Sol as new bodies/planets where added, so it is reasonable to check them, even if they do not hide anything new.

In-Game clues will follow as usual under the form of Galnet articles, local news, treasure hunts or whatever, soon I imagine :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but haven't the "clues" gathered from the trailers in the past proven to lead nowhere? All the work that went into piecing together the exact location of the UA in the wings trailer (or whichever it was), then the barnacle and the crashed type 9 in the 2.0 trailer... Weren't they all just found in other places that didn't necessarily match up with the trailer?

Though it's not impossible that this time could be different, I think maybe don't work TOO hard trying decipher what the little blue blob is next to Andromeda in the 2.2 trailer. (Unless you really want to!) I'll be searching Merope 5c first though.

Second location for possible Alien Installation. Image Levels, Contrasts, colors, and Halftones all enhanced for maximum viewing of the sky details while maintaining same colors presented in trailer.

That's what I'm saying since yesterday: I do not think the Ruins shown on the trailer are the same, and we cannot be sure about that, so I would take each scene as a standalone.

Yes you are right, but you've read only point one it seems. The other two lines of research are not necessarily related to the trailer. ;)
However, the trailer needs a little attention, and it's very funny to try to "crack" it, even if it leads nowhere. People are enjoying it, so... there's no harm in it, IMHO.

Pretty much echoed this in the discord. If people want to use the trailer to find things, should keep in mind that there is no proof its only showing one set of ruins. I get the feeling there are a lot of them out there.

I agree. These ruins could have multiple spawn locations with the inclusion of 2.2 but there is only certain area that they appear at.

Yeah def agree on that and on the other points on your post. Just wouldn't want anyone who might be new to the search taking the trailers as divine law or anything. But if it floats your boat, I have no problem with that

i'm playing the mind-game here with paint to help and i made the question:
If i was an advanced "alien" civilisation and have set out 2 type probes already to find something
but some other species already found most of them and only could recover a few where would i try to hide
the third one?

we found one type forming the "shell" around merope
and the other what is presumed "scanning" ammonia worlds tho i think they might have programmed them to hide
close to ammonia world so it easier to find them for the aliens but supposedly harder to find for the other race that took most of the first gen probes away

in my mind they need all the info so a third probe type would be sent to 5c to find the coordinates what they want and then get to an extraction area witch
is a place where they think we would never look

what would be this place where we wont look?

On the launch day stream Michael mentioned that these things would be found rather quickly, which IMO would suggest they are in a logical place. A place where other mysteries are already taking place, somewhere we are already looking... I mean it is the only way you could imagine it being found quickly is if people were already in the area

it can be merope or somewhere in the palisade for now no leads sadly

Or he was talking about passangers missions? We may find those new things through them.

Another thing, I asked a question during the launch day live stream about whether Cannon will have more interesting and wonderful puzzles to solve and his reply was something along the lines of "you're assuming you have already solved the ones you know about" I will find a link...

EDIT: Here it is!

It could just be me but does anyone notice that there seem to be a lot more military systems around the empire regions? It's as if they are "gearing" up for something....
