The reality of the situation... 2.2

Most of the people writing in this thread are really out of touch with what is happening in the game.

Waste of time and space on this forum.

Ok, where can I get one of these?? Seriously, much have!!! Does amazon sell them? I could have it here by tomorrow with amazon prime. :D
I just got a mental image of PvP, 2 FDLs slugging it out with blowup hammers. Shame I can't post mental images, so you'll have to take my worth for it it looks very funny.

I'm envisioning those giant inflatable sumo wrestler suits.
Put these on the FDL's...

Thank you Brett.

In all at the end of the day, nerfing one game play mechanic into the ground isn't the way to go. Adjustments, I think we can agree are needed. Missions, in general as they stand aren't viable.

If you want to "boil down" any of my argument it's this... stop limiting game play. Expand upon it. I am actually reasonable. 40mil per hour is too much. That said there's no reason one mechanic can't be on par with another.

As for smuggling. I'd LOVE to see it return to the game. It was the most fun I've had in Elite. The rewards were... mostly worth the risks. Especially when you consider now that you can be scanned on a pad on a planet. Constant interdictions, let's face it, it wasn't easy!

Man come on... THIS is what I'm talking about.

words....

Sothis/Ceos, and what used to be Robigo, were indeed paying too much. I also realize there is an unlisted 'bug' regarding payment in missions.

The problem is that somehow Frontier doesn't want to actually reward game play. I figured out awhile ago that the ships weren't the goal in the game. They are A goal, but they're not THE goal. In the end it is about having fun. The problem is that there were a few, or a lot, of us that enjoyed the long distance (not just Sothis) runs. I also enjoyed the Robigo runs. Now its quite difficult to find missions that are worth the time. Frontier, you need to stop removing game play options from the game.

More words....

Soooo, which is it: a bug, or a nerf? You appear to accept it's a bug (and therefore will be fixed), but then proceed to rant that it's a nerf. It's a confusing message.

Sounds like something you enjoyed got diminished. Try not to hang on, but instead move on and find something else that is fun to do. Because Robigo/Sothis are diminished doesn't mean that something else will take their place. Your expectations may be set a bit high. Try to lower them.

:D S

Offering ships that cost 400 million cr and then having to make that money 500,000 at a time doesn't offer much to Married with Children ppl who can only play a few hours a week. Most of you rich experts are game-all-day batchelor's so cant imagine anything else.

Yes, I have, "moved on", right into Battlefield One and I wont be coming back until FD fixes their Sim.

It still is not listed as bug in the known bug list. One post by a dev stating they're "looking into it." Take your pick...

Imagine getting that angry about a video game

Nope, really annoyed with the game. I didn't get truly upset until I came here and dealt with people like you on this horrendous forum.

I'm done with it... Enjoy your mess... hope you don't end up on the short end... no I do actually hope that those who asked for this crap end up with it. Karma... it does exist.

....and there we have it, the "rage quit" post. Some people really need more fibre in their diets.

(replying to the OP) It's pretty simple really.

I don't like knowing that a ship I had to work for, with real planning and study and effort and time involved, is being obtained by other people with no planning, 1 paragraph's worth of study on reddit, minimal time and effort, thanks to an bizarre exploit revolving around the transportation of Biowaste.

Smuggling is plenty rewarding in hundreds, if not thousands of other stations around the human bubble. The problem is nobody bothers to go looking, because you seem perfectly happy sitting on your hands and enjoying the "easy-mode" progression that an exploit like Ceos/Sothis allowed. No, none of those smuggling missions will be as insanely rewarding for such an invaluable cargo, but it IS comparable to every other normal method of credit generation available in the game.

Instead of wasting time here complaining about how the exploit is now gone, how about taking a look at the galaxy around you and seeking what you want to find, rather than hopping in whatever the next bandwagon system happens to be?
