Crashed alien ship seemed unimpressed by my offering!

Incidentally, when did they build the Noctrach-Hazevich Research facility? (just a short SRV drive away from the crash site) ..

someone with patience bring a T9 full of fuel and drop it onto these stains...lets power this up baaaaaby

It would indeed be very interesting to see what happens when you drop fuel on the places that push out those ancient objects. Maybe they are gifts to the people who sacrifice their fuel, and maybe the spots on the ground can also suck things up.

This seems very star gate themed like how Egyptians on another system I wonder if the objects are a measure for translating like the totem would only have common inscriptions so translating could be possible on site

I know, but the place has a vibe of an ancient launch pad... it suggest me a scene of a ship landing there, opening a triangle-based UI and selecting a destination inside one of the forbidden sectors... everything glows green and our ships falling inside a 2001-like wormhole...

Who knows, maybe the original wormholes wasn't man made... we only learned to use them, a la Contact.

waiting to see which major entity builds the first base, or deploys the first carrier class capitals to take control of it

Oh man I would hate to see a capital ship by the xenohenge (unless it is owned by canonn research group and shoots anyone that tries to grief the researchers). I tried to visit the alien wreck recently (haven't seen it yet) and got blown up by imperial capital ship's escorts. (Not gonna join empire myself that's for sure. Lost some 800 000Cr in rebuys...) Next time I might head straight for the research base and drive with SRV there...

with 3 repetitions that does not look like an error, but intentional.

Those are just the available spaces to slot 19 of the blue (solved dots) into so they form a pattern and match up with the x,y coordinates. Unfortunately, part of the problem is that of the 23 unsolved dots, 6 of them are allotted to the supposed asteroid belt. Which leaves only 17 for the bottom left puzzle, when there's meant to be 19.

The nonogram numbers are simply wrong.

As someone mentioned it a couple o times already, certain places drain your SRV fuel. Besides that I thought the first second off when I arrived there, this is a massive machine underground, waiting for activation or whatsover. We need to go there and power this beast up. Maybe the engineered healing lasers could be useful on that towers, due the fact someone at Frontier clearly stated we should become friends with the Engineers to solve this riddle.

So, i'm pretty new to the ED World, since a friend introduced me about 5 weeks ago. But i already logged 160h in game (damn...i'm absolutely crazy...although, a very bad flu helped a bit ;) ) and i'm new to the Forum here, so: Hi ;)

Anyway, i was having a look around and also found those clamps. And maybe this sounds cheesy or something like that, but that whole site gives me a very heavy "Stargate: Atlantis" vibe. You know, like a whole City that was build, fueld and so on there. I tried to make a few more detailed shots of those clamps and other stuff around the site http://imgur.com/a/OcPI6

It strikes me as odd, that those structures look a LOT like those doors in the ancient city of Atlantis. Also, the whole layout reminds me of those crystal computers/electronics they had/have. Especially with those repeating patterns. And those small pieces around the main sextet look a lot like injectors for something. I also had the Idea, that those arrays of obelisks remind me of massive databases - which would fall in line with the scan data you are getting. They could be "left overs" of some sort. Or this is some kind of data preservation site...

Anyway, i'm awestruck about the ED Community as a whole...it's unbelievable what you guys do and come up with.

Welcome Commander !

You'll see that sometime your messages will go unanswered because of the thread going so fast but I love your idea as much as I love the Stargate lore.

I'd love to meet you ingame to talk about it and test some theories ! :)

Cheers !

alliance, federation or empire capital ships will soon be present if frontier progression is anything to go by

The Lore (good and bad) does fit into Elite Dangerous.

Now there are three bases, one of which is uncovered in the Lore (West, East and North) pointing to the direction and route that were the staging areas for the invasion of the Bubble. One has been found. The other two have yet to be found.

As for the wormhole theory posted by @Martin Afonso, then you are close. That won't be introduced as a story for a while. Also the theories posted by many concerning human/alien hybrid technology is not far wrong either. The key however is yet another puzzle and that's the coordinates for the 3 bases (note the number 3 has been used frequently).

There is more to discover than just the three bases. You have the technology to find, the mysterious missing planet and the other alien race.

I tried a healing beam on the glowing-tower artefact. It produced an ineresting grid-effect and didnt harm the structure.

All healing beams make a grid effect wherever you shoot it, no? At least there is the same effect shooting shields. I think.
