Anyone tried to remove the sand with mining lasers? Or power the structure, which reminds me of a light-lock, with mining lasers?
I wonder if the relics and orbs and stuff are items that need to be replaced in their original setup to activate the lock.
I downloaded all the system with "-78" in the names from EDSM using the API (all 10,821 of them).
The only systems containing the strings "UX" and "-78" are:
{ name: 'Eok Flyuae UX-L d7-78' }
{ name: 'Smootau UX-L d7-78' }
{ name: 'Phua Scrua UX-L d7-788' }
{ name: 'Lysoof UX-L c7-78' }
{ name: 'Blua Eaec UX-A c1-78' }
{ name: 'Puekea UX-L d7-7853' }
{ name: 'Sifi UX-U d2-78' }
If you change the shape for the asteroid belt yes. There are up to 3 dots that can be moved inside the star
"-78" no, it should be "7-8" or "78".
So using those as sequences of binary base-9 (in three groups that use up the 27 columns equally, it gives 104, 1243, 107 - convert to Decimal and it gives 85, 930, 88 which is about the co-ordinates I'd put a thing to find if I were FD. Not online at the mo so can't really test it out ( and I'm actually 18Kly in the black even if I were)
Why Gateway?
Sol and Achenar are understandable, being the capitol systems of the Federation and Empire respectively. But The closest place to a capitol of the Alliance is Alioth, not Gateway. Gateway is Mahon's 'home system'.
Or is it something else? Was Gateway significant in the First Encounters storylines? (With the caveat that FDEV have already meddled with those storylines).
Ah some griefer then, sorry to hear that....hm, it's more and more obvious that we have to be in PG or OPEN to be able to activate more than one obelisk simultaneously.
That's not how the Procedural Identification system works. It's (Sector Name) (Letter)(Letter)-(Letter) (Letter)(Number)-(Number). The numbers can contain more than one digit and may or may not be separated by a dash(so it's not a-78, but rather A7-8 or A78). Unfortunately that string has too many letters in it.
UX systems with "[a-z]7-8":
{ name: 'Pro Aod UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Byeia Broae UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Byua Broae UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Pyraea Eurl UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Puwhoi UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Outopps UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Syrue Theia UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Schafeau UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Smootau UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Syre Thua UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Blo Thae UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Outorst UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Bya Theia UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Eafots UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Ploi Eurl UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Schadgeia UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Neamue UX-L d7-8' }
{ name: 'Ooscs Aeb UX-L d7-8' }
I downloaded the list of systems from EDSM and searched for all systems ending in a7-8 and a78 ... neither of them revealed anything to match the other portions system name (AO UX).
Personally, I'm not a sure that this is a System name. It could just be coincidence that it looks similar to a system name, but it is worth a shot.
Yes. I've just joined Mobius because of that. It's a bit sad, but i guess it's to be expected. The "funny" thing is, i didn't do anything special, i just drove in between all of them and they activated.
I would remove "UX" for now and focus on "A78" or "A7-8".

If it is a system name, I think the "X" doesn't belong. Maybe it was meant to signify a space? AO-U A78(or A7-8)
Yeah, I feel it's a coincidence too.
BTW, there's this system (has capital A,O,U,X and 7-8):
{ name: 'Ooscs Aeb UX-L d7-8' }
here are the ones ending in a7-8
Wepai ZT-L a7-8
Swoilz ET-L a7-8
Pyramoe IS-L a7-8
Trifid Sector VU-N a7-8
Pyramoe LS-L a7-8
Gria Drye DS-L a7-8
and nothing for a78
here are the ones ending in a7-8
