Does having found 'live' unknown artifact probey things at the new Hip site make the following Galnet
article regarding the Pleiades crash site incorrect ?...
I see several have talked about the connection between the Alien Ship and the UAs. There is a third possibility; the cmdr/pilot of the SRV was in the process of collection/dispatching the UAs and the Alien Ship came looking for him/them.
It seems a bit strange for there to be both a wrecked SRV and UAs on the site, when there was not a trace of either near the first that was found.
Just throwing that out there before someone jumps in and claims that "The Alien Ship was carrying UAs, so they are definetely related" is a fact.
Leave doors open people, not just the ones you want to see.
Point of order, we were not griefing. We were defending the site. We the Followers of Jebb declare this site sacred!
Did you warn the pilots near the site that this was your errand? Did you ask any of them if they believe in Jebb? Did you give them a chance to leave by their own volition? If your answer is no to either, then you're not RPing.
And most importantly; THIS:
The main focus?
PLAY THE GAME.
The FrontPage is not there to tell you what to do: it's purpose is to keep track of all the mess and to put it in an "ordered" way. Mostly.
Then YOU DECIDE what to do with it.
Nobody here gives orders. Nobody sets up a list for someone to do. We all work with the things that fancy us, and then share what we learn in the hopes that others will learn from it and maybe take it a step further.
In that process there are a few things to consider:
1. Don't just throw out "It's X!" if you can't substantiate it with repeatable tests. Anything here is a THEORY until proven otherwise. And if it's speculation on your behalf, then clearly mark it as such! (then see #2)
2. Don't just say "I think it's Y" without also adding your logic and/or reasoning behind that belief. Explain why you think it's Y. If you explain it, there is a higher chance of people listening to your theory and applying it to their own thinking, and maybe come up with a combined theory or some tests that can add to it.
3. Don't ask for everyone else to do tests for you! If you believe a test is important, then do it yourself! Most "have anyone tried A" comments have usually already been tried and noted here, are annoying because they literally ask you to do someone elses work, and/or get ignored because they don't follow the guidelines in #2. If you absolutely are unable to do tests yourself (ie. you're 20k LY away), then ask nicely for someone to do the tests for you. They are less likely to be ignored if you do, especially if you add stuff described in #2. And if you're in the bubble, you can fly there yourself! It's not that far. Video and sound recording software is also readily available for free, so that is not a reason for asking others to do work
you consider important.
4. Don't go into the files...EVER! If you do that, you do not belong in this thread. Either get your nose out of those files, or leave this thread and do your "research" solo.
5. Play nice and maybe there will be biscuits for all.
