Some players in elite dont roleplay. if they dont want to roleplay to your standards leave them be.

And why should we do that if it effects our roleplaying?

Or even ask them "Do you mind if I role play good sir?". Ummm no. It's not griefing, don't like it, play solo or private group. I won't have my fun impeded just because you don't want to play my way.

I have being playing long enough to know what is normal behavior or not. I know that you get a gravity warning when you deploy an SRV. This has been thing since 2.1 I know that.
Now at the Ruins site, it keeps giving you those warnings. Even after you've dismissed your ship.
You will randomly get gravity warnings while driving around the ruins. I was on the fence as to whether this was a bug or not. I didn't do any extensive testing, but I did drive around a lot on planet surfaces in the beta and that didn't happen so.
This is conformation that it is not a bug, and it is also a link between these two mysteries.

Weird behaviour happens in one place, and the same weird behaviour is seen in a completely separate place. Which is more likely...?
1. it's a bug the happens everywhere (or perhaps just all permanent POIs)
2. it's an intentional clue to a link between two otherwise completely unrelated mysteries

On the basis of very little testing in 2.2 you've completely discounted the first possibility despite how completely unreasonable linking the mysteries is (one's an ancient alien construction and the other is a human mining operation hundreds of Ly away).

That's not the scientific process.

some of them are dead so, probably it was carrying them and they didnt survive the crash which, if true, brings a whole new valuable connection

Well done on finding that. I'm not sure the presence of UAs tells us too much. Either the alien ship was collecting them and crashed because of the UA's corrosion (which would imply that the UAs and the ship have different technology and origins) or the alien ship was transporting them safely and crashed for some other reason (which might mean the UAs and the ship have the same origins).

Hope this helps. Coordinates are 30.3447 / -98.5812.

Hey, I noticed that the coordinates are backwards for some reason on the xbox one, almost as if the longitude and latitude are displayed in reverse order than what I see in the original screenshots uploaded by Denneb. Why is that? Is it a bug or something?

Howdy there, fellow explorers. Just a quick thing i wanna mention - you have mixed up the info about Takurua beacon in the OP. There are three things going on in that system:

a) There is a Herald article at the station with "CJQDVDJ TRJSBC1 LJVOSA BIKJTBLTVOIGSBV" message. We(on Reddit) believe its translated into TAKURUA PLANET1 DARING ESCAPEDPRISONERS which fits because Planet 1 in that system has...

b) Persistant POI "Anomalous Signal Detected". I was there for like 70 times already and twice i was able to spot whole bunch of ships who talk about their escape and how nobody will ever try to find them there. When you are getting close they act like simple pirates and scan you. But when i came back with my scanners and weapons to check them out - i never saw any of them again :( Here's the weird part though: when i first saw them - there was a whole fleet, like 6 or 7 ships for sure. When i got closer - more than half of them disappeared! JUST disappeared, not jumped away or anything! The next time i came - i saw no ships, but had few signals on my radar which also disappeared as i got closer to signal. And on third time i got there and there were 4 of 'em and 2 disappeared as well. When i got back 5 minutes later with scanners i had no luck in spotting anything..

c) There's also an Unregistered Beacon that at 00 minutes of every hour spits out numbers with creepy voice. 7 5 20 21 13 2 15 25 19 four times. Which, deciphered, reads as G E T U M B O Y S.

So far thats it. Been curious about this place for almost a week..

Thanks. I've noted this and will fold it into the working data/theories/hamsters when I am not in class.

ALSO!!!!! There's no beacon or POI to lock onto at the second crash site on xbox one!!!

Role-playing: I think the Canonn Research Group should fund their own capital ship which can sit watch over sites of special scientific interest to protect researchers from any such radicalised religious "followers".

to even begin to get Fdevs attention i would recommened increasing trade with their minor factions controlled system, ramp up exploration data handins. Add to that bounty hunting, illegal goods trading esp unknown stuff (collectively) and generally interacting with their HQ system more

Just sped up the audio files pasted a few pages back from the probes at the new crsh site. You can definitley hear high/low honks though now with a wierd hi-low slurr periodically too. Background noise reminds me of jungle noises! What were the steps for decoding the honks again?

The signal doesnt seem very long though, I remember something about people trying to get recording of certain length before, how long do they need to be?

(Am off trawling through threads+frontpage in case I've missed any of this info)

I think sirius corporation will be a big part of the unfolding mystery. They havent unfolded and sent out hundreds of listening posts / satelities for no reason at all

Careful there. The assumption that the numbers beacons are operated by Sirius Corp. is, in my view, unfounded, given the available data. The tone and wording of the Herald: ciphertext articles suggests a third party, when you combine that with the fact that the escaping prisoners at Takurua were in Sirius Corp. ships. I'd say this is tentatively ruled-out, and we need more data before it is reconsidered. Until then, best maintain skepticism on that point.

Frontier’s current planet engine can not do horizontal displacement, only vertical. That’s why you will never see cliff faces that go back under themselves for example. Rendering actual caves is currently impossible for the procedural engine to produce. NOW, that being said, could a handcrafted cave exist in the game? I’m honestly not sure about that one, but I would have to say that I do believe it’s a possibility from a graphical game engine rendering point of view.

There are bridges you can fly under near some of the engineers' bases so they could definitely do a cave as a handcrafted object.
