I've had a look around 4B, nothing obvious to report although it is possible to line up the moon (4c) with 4.

Not easily discernable. May be a general "location" without specific. I'm trying to think of what we "know" and that something should map there... we know the planet, system, moon, geometry, sky & constellations from this location.
Something has to map to this one way or another perhaps.
Another thought that hit me is how much some of the more steep areas seem like channels with the retaining walls maybe having "gates" for water/liquid control. Since somebody's been making a 3d map of this area I wonder what this would look like "flooded" perhaps?
Hi everybody.
This might seem like a dumb question but on the spreadsheet and on this thread there is mention of getting data from obelisks that are not part of the 15 original active ones. Could someone enlighten me as to how you find these extra ones active ? I was only able to retrieve the 12 data points known that work consistently.
Thanks in advance people !
I think his question was which ones the moon out of 4C and 4B, the answer officially i guess is neither but 4C is tidally locked whereas 4B isn't. The both have the same orbital period so both orbit the main body and not each other.

only 15 work reliably and nobody knows how the others are activated. In solo so far you can only activate the 15, it currently seems you need more players to get the rest. The trigger is unknown, but the more players the more chance of seeing the rarer obelisk.

Yeah but the ones activated by new players -seems- to be completely at random, which makes me think that A) it's not part of the actual puzzle or B) it's bugged.
You keep stating there are more ruins like it's a fact, and now you claim the engineer Bill Turner is involved? What makes you think so? What makes you think any of this? There isn't any evidence for any of it??? :S
here are some interesting textures found on the ruins. Could be nothing but you never know.
PS : well, the the website is not allowing me to upload pictures even though they are in the right format and size ... fantastic
Theory:
The original configuration somehow matched or worked with the original planned stepping stones Fdev had in mind. IF ruin A lead to ruin B, and then B to C, finding B or C first (which may have been what occurred) could have required a change to point players back toward the undiscovered ruin sites. This may be why they felt it necessary to re-arrange the obelisks.

I was wondering whether all 4 obelisks have to be active (obelisks are the ones with the relic on them; unlikely) or whether certain combinations of pillars, once scanned (or have their data successfully scanned and decoded), will unlock other pillars.
That might explain why it appears to be random. Scan results seem to be shared among players so any successful decryption carried out by a player might pair up with that of another player to unlock further pillars.

Did i ever tell you how important reading the front-page is?
Pardon me if this has been looked at. I suspect
It has but has 4 B been looked at in detail?
Looking at the ruins it seems like the bottom circle represents 1 B with a singular ring and 5 segments like stellar body 1 has a singular ring with 5 planets.
stellar body 4 has 2 rings and 5 planets only 1 of which isn't tidally locked and is a rocky body.
I'm super new. Front page of what, the forums? or this post?
Here's an image with the system next to it

It's hard to tell from the image the exact count so if the upper circle is 2 rings but 4 divots then maybe it's the other stellar body #5 since it has 2 rings and 4 planets. What I find most interesting is that the data mentions their reference to the moon waxing/waning and that the moon cycles directly overhead. Makes me wonder if we can speed up planet searches by identifying a moons orbit and the follow that exact path with a ship. If so that will greatly speed up any searches.
