Alien archeology and other mysteries: Thread 9 - The Canonn

So I've spent the last few days flying around areas of the moon I thought were possible sites for another set of ruins. But with no luck.
If it turns out from the CG that there is one on the moon, especially in one of those areas, it's going to make me feel a bit sick.

To clarify, I had a hunch that it was either in the north west hemisphere or the south west. Possibly near some canyons or mountains and close to a geyser field. Only found one geyser field in my search and it did have canyons nearby. But I could not find anything.
Well I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.

Did you find the shadow from the brown dwarf's ring system as well? I only found it by accident and followed it but to the wrong direction. After 4 hours or so of flying and trying to find it after it thinned out (and I foolishly went on forward thinking it was a pointer) I could not find it again. It is only wisible from around 1km towards the surface for some inexplicable reason. or I followed a half planetoid length thinning texture glitch(doubt it)

edit: Im waiting on the planet. Its eerie as hell. I expect shambling ai controlled/contorted zombies to pop up any second from the ground(im floating, no zombie gonna crawl in here). Also Is there a way for us to tell if the mission is coming from the actual alive ram-tah and not some alien AI impersonating him/his corpse? At first he needed only 1 type of data but a lot of it. and now he needs all of them also a lot. It feels like he wanted data first his lab got taken over and now the AI wants to piece itself back together... Also how the hell did he decipher these without even looking at the ruins? Something feels fishy. Very fishy indeed. Also this place is scary. And dark.

edit2: Also why cant we have a look at those aliens and alien pron? And how he figured out the things he tells us? We could solve the ruins if we knew how these things think or at least read and write.

Im top 10% with 1058 & that's me done now, sat in Felice Dock now waiting for the CG to end.
Making my last run and hope to stay top 25%, it's tight in the middle orders, I went 75-25 in like 2 days with very little play. Lets see how it pans out (and what happens next!)

OOOo just got interdicted by a Chris Braben ;)

i dont see why this is taking so long, i just scanned G and relogged untill full, it took me around 8 hours but i have 5,067 data. apparently thats top 10 commanders but hey, i get alot of money :p

Hi all,
I don't have much time to watch the progress here, so if anyone posted this already, my apologies. I fly with Beasts of Bestia and we did put lot of effort to this ourselves.
There is one piece of info even find quite interesting.look at theses stars:
Synuefe XR-H D11-102
Synuefe CO-F A93-1
Synuefe CO-F A93-3
Synuefe IP-D A94-2

We measured the distance between these stars and they are almost a perfect match to the distances between the pillars with relics.
Only problem all the planets are at these stars are either non-landsble, either icy, se definitely no good terrain for ruins to remain on the surface for millennia...
We re about to launch a search operation anyway.

Good job. Does this make sense? Proabably none, but hey.

That's Synuefe IP-D A94-2

We need to know if there are hints that would allow us to identify the location of the current ruins. If we solve that then we could use the same method to find others, if they exist. The location of the current ruins is the only real data we have. The other ruins may be located on the same moon, the same system, neighboring systems, or the other side of the galaxy. We just don't know.
The data we decode for Ram is interesting for him, but he sure as hell don't tell us much. I'm beginning to suspect that if we manage to decode all the data he'll just say "Thank you Cmdr, this data is fantastic! I'm not telling you what it is though, but here's some random lore that will lead you nowhere. See you soon in another exciting adventure! Exciting for me of course."

Well, our assumption was that the small circular hill represents the known ruins location, the big one would stand for guardians' home system

Well technically he is the archeologist and we are the labourers like in egypt during the archeology movement there. Craploads of people toiled away for some cash in some cases good cash and some rich putzly englishmen left with their findings and relics and got fame for it. I always forget that in this game we are not the heroes we are the grunts. Undying grunts, but still grunts.

So I'm perched herein the ruins (in solo, for comfort and safety!) watching Barnards Loop emerge from the horizon over "obelisk cluster G", listening to the ambient singing, reading over the lore-data provided and listening to
CMDR Josh Hawkins read bits of it to me on youtube, and I'm becoming more and more convinced what we're getting here is the Thargoid origin story.

Its all there - the bio technology with EM elements (just like the new ship and its wake), genetic manipulation, fierce and warlike behaviour, the pictograms relating to and as speach, like the scanned unknown probe, regimented society, hints of techno-telepathy/hive-mind.

I think "Guardians" refers not to these entities, but to the AI singularity(-ies) left dormant in the interstellar obelisk-info network we are now so gleefully proding.

Maybe we're going to wish we'd been nicer to the newly returned Thargoids because we're going to need their help dismantling their old network before it dismantles us...

This puzzle will take us to the missing "4th world" it points at, where we'll learn more, maybe more than we'd like...

Anyway, I'm way to tired now tokeep scanning obelisks, my 1500 handed in will have to do. I think I'm going to activate the relic beacons here and see if the CG finishesbefore I have to crawl off to bed.

I hope one of us wild theorisers is somewhere close. I can't help feeling all the info is there, I just don'yt have a good enough handle on it to puzzle it out. Hopefully hints from the CG will give someone the boost they need to see the way the dots join!

At least the grunts were told where to dig.

No time now. Will report later tonight and post a master key in 4 hours.
So show some courtesy if You cannot show respect.
You have no chance if You dont have Pareidolia.

This city is a huge galaxy map. Huge!

Edit: I am not talking about obelisks. I do not touch them.
no one was disrespectul or rude to you, just remember:

less mysterious theory+
more proof+
=more courtesy and respect

first a city, now a gigantic map... The map sounds more plausible at least, let's see.

That would be a big revelation, the kind this game never sees. We'll get the standard "we're closer to finding [thing] than ever before."

Apologies for the negativity, I'm tired. I'll go play another game for a while. Best of luck to all of you.

I see. What did you use to figure those locations? Measure the distance in meters between the beacons and translate to light years in the surrounding systems? Hope it makes sense, english is not my mother tongue and I'm not very good at technical words.

Now comes the difficult part, find stuff in huge planets with the Eyeball MkII scanner. Maybe using something as a beacon, like Barnard's loop would help.

Keep up the good work CMDR!

That's exactly what we did. Parked 2 Srvs as close to the relic pillars as possible and then measured the meter distance between us. We used the measures as ratios and started to look for stars that would fit.
One of the distances is by 1.5 ly off but on the other hand. All these stars are in one plane as the pillars on the surface. Now seriously, if this all is just coincidence, what are the odds?
