Slower turn rate, more palpable drift, yet still very Descent-ish.

We're yet to see any glimpse of interactive cutscene, of NPC interaction, of enemy AI, of mission structure... So... a testbed with half stuffed mattress and a bedspring in blueprint phase. If I consider 2.6 as test bed for Squadron 42 introducionary episode, things might go slightly better than before. So we might actually see Squadron intro this year.

It's still all very much about the yaw, which appears to have been nerfed somewhat since I last played it (a good thing). It just doesn't look very interesting.Patch 2.6.1 Revamped Hornet and Broken Moon lighting pass

I would wait until we see the schedule for 3.0 before saying that. This patch is great for performance and lag but is far(faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar) from where the PU should be.If I consider 2.6 as test bed for Squadron 42 introducionary episode, things might go slightly better than before. Hi,
Thank you very much for your reply.
I'm sorry to hear that you are still requesting a refund, but I do want to point out a few things here for you before we proceed with your request.
As you know, Star Citizen and Squadron 42 are both very ambitious projects that are actively advancing into territory that has never been seen before. Thanks to our generous backers, we were able to obtain more funding than we originally anticipated. Due to this, we have been able to expand our development team in order to deliver a far greater product than originally thought possible.
We are, in fact, inventing new technologies to deliver features promised in our funding stretch goals. While the scope of the games have increased since the original Kickstarter campaign, everything we've been working on has been done with the intention of building the best damn space sim ever!
When you pledged to our fundraising project, the money that you pledged was invested into the game development itself (staff, equipment, training, artists, graphic designers, QA testers, tech support, etc.) and in exchange for your support, we've provided advanced access to our project as it is being developed. We are the first studio to offer this type of access to an unfinished game.
Basically, as a backer of the game, you are being given access to see content that is generally reserved for internal eyes only. We are doing this because we want to be as transparent as possible with our backers and show you what we're working on and what your money is funding. We understand that this can be frustrating, especially when you are wanting to jump in and play as quickly as possible. You are part of a rare and unique development process and we want you to know that we appreciate your contribution to our project.
Kind RegardsI do want to make sure that you know that if you continue with your request for a refund, there are some things to consider that will directly impact you. From an account standpoint, once you have requested a refund of your pledge, your account may no longer be active and you will lose access to any ships, upgrades, and special items that you have received as a backer. If you were to decide to re-join in the future, you would not be given any benefits as a former backer, thereby losing your limited edition ships and potentially having to pay more to play the game down the road. I want to make sure that you are aware of what you will be missing if you decide to continue with your request.
We have recently released 2.6 to the Live server. In 2.6, we added new features, the most prominent of which is Star Marine. If you haven't had the chance to play yet, please take some time and play through the newest releasebefore making your decision.

Dear Backer,
Sorry to hear you have made this decision, but as an investor you are of course entitled to your money back should you no longer wish to be involved. Please allow us X days to process your refund.
We hope that as we move forward you will find more to your liking, and perhaps once again will consider joining us when we make a final release.
We wish you all the best and good luck with your future endeavors!

Next friday(most probably not) we should have the new schedule report for 2.6.2

We also see why perhaps limiting yaw isn't a bad thing as it stops things flying like turrets in space.... unless you want turrets in space of course.
Yaw isn't the only axis that is stronger in SC. The lateral thrusters are as well. This results in a much greater degree of full movement, and a wider range of combat tactics compared to... pitch with fa/off + boost, fa/on, shoot, repeat. Or just fly backwards.

So it's much like Elite, then, but with less complexity in the flight model and controls?and a wider range of combat tactics compared to... pitch with fa/off + boost, fa/on, shoot, repeat. Or just fly backwards.
