They're designed to rapidly deploy before crew is exposed to the vacuum of space. Rapidly.

going throug the long list fo features Elite has gotten and having a job in software engineering, shows me very much what to expect from Frontier.
it's going to be a solid job on what they show, but it's not going to be an amazing feature.

Many devs are unwilling to do the effort for long hairstyles becaue it omes with a long list of comlications and issues you can simply avoid by leaving them out. And so I don't expect that to happen from Frontier.

It's like those wepaon colors, I wanted a yellow, but all we got was orange. (but I guess the yellow was stolen by those alien ships who enjoy having it now)

That said we would like to add further styles in future releases that convey pinned-up hair, or long hair tied back.

Also - In the current build both genders have a pony tail, and there is a shoulder-length bob for females.

This reply both saddens me and gives me hope.

It saddens me that proper long hair won't be in the game for the foreseeable future.

It gives me hope that Frontier has actually thought about how hair behaves in zero-G.

So…does this mean you are okay with your character having short hair, and you will keep playing Elite? That would be a tremendously positive ending this topic! :cool:
